What is the most out of line / disturbing experience you have seen from Circuit Overseers?

i once heard of a circuit overseer blaming a loyal ministerial servant, that served as the accounts servant, of steeling from the contribution boxes, simply because he deposited the congregation funds bi-weekly instead of twice a week.

due to the accusation, the ms was immediately removed without hearing his side of the story.

isn't this rather counter-intuitive and innefficient?

punk: How do they get around "Paying back Cesar's things to Cesar" when they build these flat's to occupy COs and other squares by lying to the "County" saying "It's a janitor closet or garage"? Elders had the smoothest euphemism for this outright theft. By lying to the county, they avoid paying "school fees" and other costs associated with developing a parcel.

Stealing from Cesar by lying about your taxes and development projects, are winked at. I know too many JWs who have stolen from Cesar by converting their garages into illegal homes or apartments. The other trick to stealing from the county was taught by a high ranking person, he told everyone to have two sets of plans. One set you send through the "processor" and the other you keep with your contractor. You cheat as much as possible, adding 500 sq ft on the unofficial "plans" is easy to do. The elders in one former congregation were all crooks in this area, they stold from the county, and these old geezers reply was "we don't have kids so were not using their schools! It's like Double Taxation, the "Stamp Act".

For being so outwardly righteous, they are like "white washed graves", full of every sort of uncleanness and wickedness. Lying about car mileage used in Field Service writing if off as Business Mileage. The COs knew about all of this and never reprimanded them, some who were going to live in the "flats" would make suggestions how to bump up "sq ft" without paying taxes! Why do they go door to door when they steal?

So where is all this supposed worldwide persecution of Jehovah's Witnesses?

for years, it was drummed into our heads that the whole world lies in the hands of the wicked one who hates us and a result, mankind particularly hates the jws with a passion.. now that i think about it, i've seen very little evidence of that.

i mean yes, in places like malawi, germany and some other countries the witnesses have been through real persecution - not the type that the average dub would call it like doors being slammed in the face.

but what have they experienced that many other religions in other countries haven't?

We are currently going through the phase of persecuting the Apostates using the Watchtower to spread they are all "mentally diseased!"

i live next to jw neighbors.

i was a jw 1000 miles away over 20 years ago, never here.

as far as i know, nobody here knows i once was, including the neighbors.. so there wouldn't be any reason for them to shun me.

"poppers" Who better to see the results of your good behaviour than your neighbors of the Hood? I lived on a street of worldy people and we knew everyone fairly decent, none of them were JWs and we had a idea of sixteen houses, who the people were. We were friendly and helped do good deed, now times are different from that time but we can still be good? Not all JWs are this way, the Spanish JWs are a little different, they are from Countries that are not gifted at turning everyone in your village off. We had a Spanish JW and this guy was like "jws", always looking for ways to help the neighborhood be a better place.

For thirty years the JWs who occupy a home in a house never spoke to any of their neighbors because they felt it was wrong. "What does light and dark have in common? Belial and Christ?" My screwed up relative would let their homes go up in fire, without calling the fire department, and think she had done a good deed. I know there a good neighbor JWs, it's the Watchtower's dehumanization program that allows us to turn into a Levite or Jew in the parable of the "Good Samaritian".

What will it take for others to see how the religion turns them into mindless zombies who think the are sexy for their Hood?

"This circuit overseer was acting really weird toward me. I opened the door for him, and he decided to go out of another door. The whole incident was just strange. Joilette that's a classic power response used by arrogant individuals trying to put you in your place. I know another man who does the same thing, it's his way of flipping us off. Sorry for those arses, not cool at all!

How do I find District Overseer's Wallen's remarks to his current district? I received three phone calls from victims of abuse after he attempted to equate Jehovah with a man being accused of sexual abuse and all the methods and techniques used to beat up your accusers to be made whole again? I can't find it!

When the circuit overseers travled in trailers, this:

"KNOCK" KNOCK" "KNOCK" "KNOCK"

CO "Who Is It?"

EJ "It's Elder Jules"

CO "WHAT DO YOU WANT!!!

EJ "Sorry, I brought you something, did not mean to disturb you!"

CO sticks his hand out the trailer and receives a envelop with cash and never say's a word.

EJ Elder Jules feels like a horse's ass for wanting to thank the circuit overseer.

This is not the norm for how most circuit overseers work, the very smart ones would send you a note, blessing and thanking you with personal thoughts and 'well wishes". The arrogant co's would hold out their hands and not say a word. Often that would be the last time anyone handed them a penny, and word got around of their self centered and calloused conduct.

Still Waiting For the Governing Body To Explain Their New Light

regarding the governing bodys new light relative to matthew 24:45-47, anointedjw.org recently said the following:.

Valid points but when have they ever been worried about the crowd? We learned in COC and ISOCF their arguments are poorly done, using circular reasoning and "appealing to authority" they created themselves. Who has had a decent talk with anyone strongly attached to the Organization about the "new light'?

The diehards I talked with, bite into this without pondering or missing a beat! The common reply or theme is "we always knew the Watchtower is where the faithful slave resided, this new light makes more sense now." The same sentiment is echoed by a million more people who are afraid to ask how? Don know's from his book, how their mind is tangled up, the GB will add another floor to their building of cards and no questions are ever asked.

Cedars he mentions his area in Conn, USA being covered with ice. The issue is can God step into the Metaphysical Realm, I could have put Noah's ark in a "Time Vortex" where outside time speed up and inside it remained constant. I have no idea how he did this, I wish he left more pieces to the giant puzzle we know as Life.

Cedars, why is it hard for people to think God who created the rules of this Universe can't bend them from time to time? We know nothing of the reality we are living in, nothing really in the vast space and time. I love sci-fy, I don't have issues with God changing things "dark matter", "anti-matter", matter". Why would a small flood on a tiny stone cause the creator of the Universe any trouble? It seems petty to think he could not do anything he wants to do, accept create a rock he can't move. Stargate SGU, the ancients ascended into a body of light and energy. Space Ody 2001 same thing, they makers of the monolith had ascended into "light beings" too. We imagine in scify what God really is.
