by minimus inmy mother told me that she got a video from a sister that already went to the convention.
the entire program was recorded except for the prayers.
the sister said the society says we have to shut off the recording if the prayer is being given.

I think my answer pretty much dittos what Ballistic said, and that is why I was soooo disillusioned after they came out with the Generational adjustment in 1995. I began to realize that they were full of shit and I got even more depressed than I was before! It's tough when all your dreams go up in smoke, and I hope for that and what they've done to harm so many people, they will pay for one day.

No, just a tatoo on my ankle! I don't feel it is necessary (for me) to change my appearance from human to animal.......but, I can't fault this guy for really believing that strongly. The guy who does all his adaptations can't use any medication to numb pain etc....cuz he's not licensed to practice medicine...i.e. not a doctor. They showed how excruciating it was just to implant the whiskers.....first they had to make cuts in his lip, then insert metal holders, then screw the whiskers in.....I'd say this guy should get marks for being stoic enough......

I must be a bit strange, I didn't believe in Jehovah for years.....after the initial excitement as a kid, well, let me change that...I did believe in Him, but I believed he only was keeping a tally on how good or bad we all were.....for years I couldn't pray and I had no joy in my "theocratic" service. Since I left, however, I have DEFINITELY found a spiritual belief system that I feel comfortable with and feel I am in touch with Spirit. Hope that answers your question! And, Logan, be nice!

Let the shunning begin!

twice in one week i was the recipient of "active shunning" by former congregation members.. scene one-the local discount food place where all the blue collar folks (and a few smart upper crust ones) buy their food.
i'm busy grocery shopping and sister zealous comes marching down the other side of the aisle, dutifully studying the cans on said shelf.

Gordy, I was sucked in with the thought of PARADISE!!! I was a young, innocent, country bumpkin for cryin' out loud. A Special Pioneer sister was working unassigned territory one summer and found my family.......and, my sister and I started studying because our nearest neighbor, an older woman, was studying! We sat in and found it fun to find the answers and have some attention paid to us!
