it was clearly not intended to be taken seriously but it does reflect another possibility that should be considered seriously and that is that there are anti-apostates on this board.. i do not consider myself to be a particularly paranoid person but i have seen signs of things that do not seem quite right to me.
so what do i mean and how would an anti-apostate operate here?

i know valis, sorry, i know u are not a rat, i just freak out sometimes when i hear someone has been outed. After all the years as a jws, ratting is their MO.
Read this! You apologized to Valis, then you proceeded to repeat what you apologized to him for! All I can say, is that you must have known some REAL creeps in the Borg. I had many bad experiences but, I refuse to live my life in constant paranoia and terror of being outed. I don't mean to sound cruel here, but, you need to shit or get off the pot. Bottom line is, and I say this to everyone here: you can't have it both ways. No matter how you try, sooner or later, someone will find you out. Then what? You will have lived your whole life outside the borg, still controlled by fear of it. I realize we all come to that point at different times......but, think, being in such fear is still being entrapped by the very organization you left physically, the sad thing is you still haven't left it emotionally.

after about 3 years of being part of a pagan religion, i'm finally realising that this is the time to tell my jw mother.

I think I know how you feel..........it would be nice to be able to share that part of yourself with your mom, and why not, because this is something that gives you joy and connection with the Divine! That's how I feel. I do alot of reading and research about many paths of spirituality. I think that paganism is much like the native americans beliefs in that they both believe in spirits and energies of the natural world, they both have "helper" animals, and attribute personality and life to supposedly inanimate objects like trees, rocks, water, etc........they both use plants and herbs in their ceremonies..........I think the term "animism" applies to both the belief systems. I, too, am very interested in shamanism. A girlfriend of mine took my picture to work with her one time and showed it to her friend who is a Wiccan Master (?) and he told her that he saw 3 Spirit Guides standing behind my left shoulder..........hmmmm, that was quite interesting! I don't know what he meant by that at all, but, I do believe in Spirit Guides...........anyways, I think you'd feel better, telling mom, even if she doesn't understand right away, at least you will have taken your stand and empowered your belief and validated it out loud.
