  Hi! Long time lurker finally signing up!

  ok, so the time has finally come to register an account on this site.

  not that i think i have much to contribute to the discussions here, but more out of a desire to show that yet another person has learned ttatt.

  i am a fader, not discussing ttatt with anyone as i know the inevitable outcome it would have.

  Welcome!! Your going to be Ok.

  I just sent my last letter out to my older brother of my defection. We are 3rd gen. He is still an active elder as well as another brother. I'll miss them,.... I only saw them once every few years so it's not going to be as hard as I've read with some.

  I'm coming up to 60 years and I'd like my remaining years to be truly free.

  I hope we read from you more of your story soon

  2nd and 3rd Genners -- Did the passing of the 1st/2nd Gen. cause doubts for you?

  i can't discuss my family history here in detail while i'm still fading, but suffice to say that i'm a third-generation witness.

  my grandparents' generation of witnesses expected the end to come in the middle of the 20th century.

  they led spartan lives and largely went without having kids, as they awaited the imminent new system.

  From 1 to 10, how do you rate the value of the Internet in your awakening?

  as we all know, the internet is a real game-changer in allowing us to know the truth about the watch tower and its history.

  i always had doubts and it was the internet that presented me with the ever-growing number of individuals who were going through a similar struggle.. i give the internet a 9 in my awakening.

  JW caregiver married grandfather with dementia

  i am so angry and i need to vent.

  a jw who was hired to be a caregiver for my grandfather in the early stages of dementia went and married him over the objection of family, the gal and the va social worker.

  this happened several years ago.

  start documenting everything. . Call agencies for elder abuse since this happens, so he can at leaste have an advocate that might possibly have links for a lawsuit against the agency that sent her. Press charges to get things rolling, NOW!!!!. Social services will have to step in and make an investagation and in the mean time you might be able to freeze his assets.

  Nephew going to bethel - seeking seed planting ideas

  i have posted a handful of times so far.

  i am seeking some ideas to plant some seeds with my nephew before he goes to patterson.. a little about me and the going away party where i will have an opportunity to plant these seeds.

  i have a little freedom since i am the only relative that he is in communication with that spent some time at bethel.
