  A JW encounter in Hong Kong

  last week i was in hong kong on a holiday and ran into some jws.

  i was in a large shopping mall and noticed a number of jws holding out a pamphlet to passerbys.

  before i knew it there was one walking towards me and stopped right in front of me stopping me from moving forward.. the jw was virtually shoving the pamphlet towards me and said i would like to offer you this pamphlet that directs you to a web site that will answer all your questions that you have about life.

  Wife got love bombed!

  so i have been doing a 90 day fast from anything jw related.

  getting close to 2 months in.

  went to a baptist service this morning.

  You say your wife needs social activities, how many times has she been love bombed by the JWs outside of the KH? Do you do many activities together? How was the Baptist service you went to?

  i'm a born in jw and never in a million years i'd thought i'd see this.

  from internet is evil to website worshipping in less than a decade.

  I don't think the average person will look twice at these pieces of propaganda, the reason they are getting so frantic in my opinion is to stop already converted JWs from stumbling across other sites.

  hi guys, i don't really post on here much anymore, having been on here since 2001. this site helped me out in the early days and has been a great support system for all of my past jw issues.

  like many others i was discouraged from an education so that i could window clean and pioneer in my youth during the 80's.

  having spent many years post my jw exit in alcoholism and periods of drugs, i decided to clean myself up 7 years ago by attending aa, i was still a window cleaner ... at the time i wrote extensively on here about my issues.

  "the month of october 2014 will see the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the kingdom.

  for this occasion a special edition of the watchtower will be on this theme.".

  I had this conversation with a JW recently, their eyes just glazed over. Essentially WW1 started before war in heaven started and satan was kicked out of heaven, which of course makes no sense.

  BTW, the OP said "But This war started in august", it was actually end of July

  this might be my last post.

  i've had quite a few things on my mind over the past few years, mainly my belief in god.

  i've tried to move on from the jw past but that's really being foolish.

  I don't think it'll make you feel more weird, it should help get things into perspective for you. Don't worry, I'm sure a lot of us experience the same anger and frustrations at times over the hold they had, other people have difficulties to deal with too.

  Food For Thought

  andre gide its is better to be hated for what you are than loved for what you are not.. the words of wisdom from the deceased french author echo through my mind every day, and they make me think, would the people in my congregation give me their unconditional love if i was not doing well in the congregation spiritually?.

  spiritually as in giving well in the congregation, making nice comments, doing parts in the service meeting, reading during the book study on stage, working at the literature counter, and recently becoming a servant.. of the 20 or so young ones in the hall only me and 4 others are progressing spiritually.

  ive seen the way brothers and sisters have treated those in the hall that arent progressing and dont take the truth seriously.

  jw's walk like this, they eat this way, they look like this,.

  they have sex this way (lol), they talk this way and etc.. are we excessively concerned with or critical of inconsequential.

  I found it astonishing how JWs analyze every minute detail of Greek and Hebrew (allegedly) to work out the days we live in and yet don't even know how their god's name is pronounced. It just seems weird to me.
