  What I find more alarming is the fact that a cave hids a shitload of documents and some guys at some day picked cherries in order to create a book and discarding the rest.

  Also... if it is found all together what does it say about the trustworthyness of ALL the papers/scrolls/books?

  The biggest changes are the exclusion of the texts after Mark 16:8 and John 7:53–8:11 they state on page 1729:

  Regarding the long conclusion for Mark 16 (verses 9-20),
  the short conclusion for Mark 16, and the wording found at
  John 7:53–8:11, it is evident that none of these verses were included
  in the original manuscripts. Therefore, those spurious
  texts have not been included in this revision.

  Some other wording has been adjusted to incorporate what
  scholars generally accept as the most authentic reflection of the
  original writings. For instance, according to some manuscripts,
  Matthew 7:13 reads: “Go in through the narrow gate because
  broad is the gate and spacious is the road leading offinto destruction.”
  In previous editions of the New World Translation, “is
  the gate” was not included in the text. However, further study of
  the manuscript evidence led to the conclusion that “is the gate”
  was in the original text. So it was included in this present edition.
  There are a number of similar refinements. However, these
  adjustments are minor, and none of them change the basic message
  of God’s Word.

  Exodus 3:14 is also a fucked up translation...

  The older version states this:

  At this God said to Moses: “I SHALL PROVE TO BE WHAT I SHALL PROVE TO BE .”*+ And he added: “This is what you are to say to the sons of Israel, ‘I SHALL PROVE TO BE has sent me to YOU .’”+

  The revised version states this:

  14 So God said to Moses: “I Will Become What I Choose to Become.”c And he added: “This is what you are to say to the Israelites, ‘I Will Become
  has sent me to you.’”d

  The sentence means something totally different then before (at least in my book). Correct me if I am wrong!

  Matthew 24:45 has a very small change but it may actually be a big one:
  
  They have changed the word "arriving" from the older version to the more vague term "coming". Since it is quite a keytext I wanted to post it here.

  RNWT Bible only in English

  so, the english speaking jw world has got the rnwt bible.. so, 60 percent of the non-english jw world still has to to use / read their old nwt bible.. and reads in watchtowers from 2014 on bible text translated from the english rnwt to their language, and mention the changes with their own bible.. this is a very strange situation!.

  so, like g. jackson would say, the non-english jw world has to wait for some not so warm summers to keep up with the new rnwt bible.. gorby.

  at the meeting this week, there was a part about placing our trust in jehovah and not worrying about food and shelter (mat 6:33).

  the part was based on the 2013 yearbook p138 and 139 where there were two examples:.

  a family went to their convention leaving their chickens unattended for a number of days, worried about if they would survive.

  What level of IQ does one have, to beleive " TRUTH " changes. ? or old "Light " old truths " New Light " new truths " ?

  okay, i never went to university , or had a college education, though i`m damn sure that "truth" is "truth" and it never changes.. if you" beleived "something was the truth in the past and now found out it was not correct , you cant say it was an" old " truth ,it must have been wrong/false reasoning in the first place......so it was never really the truth.. sure you can be aware of a "new" truth something you never knew beforehand , though whether you knew it or not ,it has always been a truth.

  example:the earth was the centre of the universe ,beleived as a truth.........that beleif was false , it was not an old truth.. if their was something you beleived before as true and you now find it wasnt true , then it was false / untrue .. their is no such thing as an "old truth " and a "new truth" that is apparently accepted by jehovahs witnesses .. if jehovahs witnesses were as honest as they profess , then they would acknowledge when they make adjustments to their beleifs/doctrines that they were wrong in their initial understanding of said scriptures instead of passing it off as old truths or new light.. i was a witness for 33 years before it became obvious something was just not right with this religion and it took another 10-12 years before i found this site , that set me free.

  so i ask , is it an iq level ?

  IQ is never the problem... human nature is very complex and intelligence is just one of the many elements of a person. Character, Emotions, backgrounds etc etc all have an influence on human behaviour. So... anyone can get hooked by a cult at any time but some are more vulnerable then others. Also... there is a difference between coming from the outside to the inside of the cult and being born in. Those who were "born in" can have a lot more difficulty of loosing the JW-mindset because of constant flow of doctrine. Not everyone can handle the trip out well... and some just can.

  i'm a jw, and i have several bills to pay.

  me: "oh my goodness, i have so many bills, it's ridiculous!

  i have car rego, phone bill, electricity bill, rent...it's terrible!
