It was my first one of my life (36!! yearssss) ... My family went... I putted on my 3D glassess... Put on my TV... and watched "Gravity". Very good movie and better then giving wine to someone else without sipping...
it was weird in some way but... It was worth it :)
one of my best friend's, who is an ex elder had two elders visit him at his home yesterday to invite him to the memorial.
he was cordial to them because they were'nt over the top.. so far, i have had no invites, thank god..
I am not invited... My wife does not even invite me... She probs wait for a better hubby in paradise :(
wifey says she wants to go to see the special effects.

The only lifestyle worth living is being free of other people (or God's) dominion... Co-existing is the key... At the end nature will kill everyone and survival is onpy meant for the fittEst. Guess who those will be? I think the people who just "live" instead of survive ;)
according to many christian churches including wbtc, the very cores of christian believes, is about how god (jehova) sacrifice his one borne son, so that every obedient mankind who believe in him could be released from sin and thereby have the hope of eternal life.
the bible is full of scriptures given this indication.

I think that these questions are already wrong since it states two things as true beforehand: 1. God (or rather the God of Bible/Koran/Torah) exists. 2. Adam and Eva existed. That alone makes an usefull answer impossible.
just got back from a recent sad.. after most talks, the applause was, at most, tepid.. it was striking in its tepidity, if that is possible (and if that is a word).. affter most talks, applause lasted literally no more than 5 seconds.
its volume was scarcely above a whisper.. it wasn't acoustics - the bethel speaker was technically a polished speaker (although presenting the same old boring info), and his talks generated noticeably louder applause.
but even still - that applause was maybe 10 seconds, and about normal-conversation level.. but local speakers - the applause was not much more loud than the hum coming from your refrigerator.. there were 1300+ people there.. it was just so weird - my previous large-group experience was at the agm, where people were nearly apoplectic & drooling with delight over their new "silver bibles" (which very few have read, i'd wager).. these guys were just "zombified".. speaking of bibles - bethel dude called it a "platinum bible".
One of the last SAD's I visited had NO baptism! Now that was awkward!
jw's are suckers.. they got fooled.. they devoted their life to a fraud.. they have been ambiently abused.. they have been used for the money.. they are stuck in a sick mindset.. with sick people.. in a sick temple.. and (the real estate fraud) makes money off the sickness.. i say run away fast.. get your family.. get your friends.. get your kids.. run as fast as you can.. don't look back.. eventually you will heal.. eventually..
Many JWs arent suckers... Some were born into it and could not avoid it. You can not treat and judge everyone with the same judgement. that is one or the flaws in the religious department. The rules can not be obeyed by everone and therefore many have no "fair" chance (survivalof the strongest but in 21stcentury :p).
Be less judgemental about any human... I do not agree with many viewsbut at least I have respect enough to let them enjoy the right of free will. I think that is the definition of true freedom: not only to decide for yourself but also to acknowledge the right of others.
Jws arent suckers in general... and if they are then please note that at least some of the times you were a sucker as well...

The violence that is used (even if it were thugs) is not in any way justified. It was not a critical situation for the gun man and he was apparently not in a life threatening situation. In these cases it is just murder in my book. Also... seen the fact he shot two people, TEENS (we are talking about people ladies and gents!) I would not care less if he got a lethal injection.
