i know this is kind of like shooting fish in a barrel, but i just have to share this email i got a few minutes ago.
i think it encapsulates the response many will have, no matter what is said about the molestation issue.
i invite you read it, put yourself in my shoes, and see how you might offer a response.
At what point did the issue ever become supporting "perfect organizations?" Isn't the real issue here that the Witnesses are subverting law? Laws have been created to protect the public from these monsters who take pleasure in abusing children. Were those law-makers "mind readers?" Cleary not! How about the judges or jury panels who sit and listen to these trials? Is it this individual's suggestion that we simply dismiss all law because occasional mistakes are made? Perhaps we should dismiss laws on murder because innocent people are put in prison on rare occasions. Laws on theft? Witnesses like to quote the scripture that says "Pay back Caesar's things to Caesar, but God's things to God," thus indicating that they abide by law. Has it escaped this person's insight that reporting child molesters IS LAW? It's certainly amazing to me that God's "pure organization" would take part in blatant cover-ups rather than expose its offenders. This is just another example of a Witness attacking what threatens the "harmoniously-joined" WBTS.
i was trolling around on the great crowd board of jehovah.
witnesses and one mention about a credit card machine being.
installed in an asssembly hall of jehovah witness.
Will they take American Express?
sometimes, i find quotes most helpful in creating a sense of mission and focus.
i find the following worth noting:.
"our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.
Amazing:
Enjoyed the quotes and the encouragement for Silent Lambs. Thanks for the post.
hey ... i'm just getting into the swing of this great 'apostasy' thing right ... ?
... i thought y'all out there might well have a story or two to tell, so ... plz tell me tell me tell me about the most embarrasing thing you ever saw at a meeting ...
I didn't actually witness these, but heard through the grapevine:
At one particular meeting, during an audience discussion part, a sister with the last name Pain(spelling?) raised her hand to comment. It just so happened that she was seated in the back of the Kingdom Hall. So, as you might have guessed, when called on she was referred to as sister Pain in the rear.
While praying for the congregation at a meeting, one Asian brother petitioned God to "forgive us for our falling shorts."
That's all I have. Gave me a couple of laughs.
i am going to be at a trial in ritzville, washington.
the town is about an hour southwest from spokane, wa.
i will be there on august 14th, which will be on a tuesday.
never try to play a playa.............u just got clowned
they both lived in othello
I'm so proud. Did you come up with that one all by yourself? And to think, it only took you a day. You're so insightful and clever. I guess I had you all wrong, didn't I? Did you invite all your Elder buddies over to pat you on that back for that spark of genius? "Playa"? How old are you? I think you better get permission from your parents before you post any more messages, little fella. If you're not going to provide anything useful, then why complicate that small mind of yours by struggling to reply? There's really no need for you to take up space on this thread with your tired ramblings if you aren't going to give initials. Come back next year when you're a little older.
i notice that because the jw's point out flaws with the churches doctrines and beliefs that instead of fixing or repenting or solving the issues it's easier for church people to form a backlash whether it's honest or falacious in order to displace blame and smokescreen their own inadequacies.. you can not heal yourself by pointing out anothers wounds, you also can not solve your problems by displacing them instead of admiting and addressing them.. if a jw or anyone else points out the problem of abuse in the church then by pointing out an abuse in the jw elders does not solve the issues of the church abuses neither is it repentance as repentance should be.. if you can't discuss the bible and resons why you fall short and trasngress then by bringing up personal issues or attacking each other like jackals does not change those transgressions it just adds more.. as an outsider i must say all of you are like animals on their prey simply because you didn't like being exposed for your false testiments and false practices.
this means your emotional and psychological and spiritual level is far from being grown up.. will you dare persecute me for pointing out such observations?
a spiritually grown person will reflect on what i say, admit to it and try to change, but a child of darkness will feel their ego hurt and group rpide kicks in causing a person not grown to become defensive bitter and mean/perhaps even spiteful.

If a JW or anyone else points out the problem of abuse in the church then by pointing out an abuse in the JW elders does not solve the issues of the church abuses neither is it repentance as Repentance should be.
Mike:
No one is suggesting that revealing abuse among Witnesses solves the problems of other religions. However, does that mean that the Witnesses should be absolved of responsibility for their problems simply because they point out the problems of others? Clearly not. So the same could be said in reverse. If the WBTS fails to clean up serious problems among their organization, but instead points the finger at "Christendom", then the question remains: Are they really any more spiritual than the groups at which they so eagerly point that finger? As a side point, I would hope that your conclusion is not based solely on this website. After all, Mike, let's not forget that the title of this website is "Jehovah's Witness Discussion." Although this forum appears to be pretty open, I certainly don't believe that one would come here expecting to find a high level of discussions involving Buddhists or Catholics. The focal point of this board apears to be JW's. Of course, if it truly is this discussion board which you disfavor, you have every right to avoid visiting. That's neither an attack, nor is it an insult. Thank you for the posting, though.

if you want names to prove myself........i could give initials of the other victims who refused to testify............
if you read my quote, it was in response to sl's questioning my validity and knowledge of certain facts of the case. I know I have proven myself and will not give the initials of the other victims just to satisfy your first grade curiosity.
If you don't want a first grade question, then don't offer first grade information. You claimed to have knowledge of the other two victims' names. Further, you implied release of that knowledge by saying "i could give initials of the other two victims who refused to testify." If you had no intention of providing that info, then your statement was thoroughly useless as proof. Therefore, don't attest to factual representation that you refuse to produce. That wastes everyone's time and only lends to the belief that your brain is truly the size of a peanut. Now let's walk through this one more time. It's a very simple question. No need for the senseless babble which we've all grown accustomed to you presenting. Make sure you have something to write on in case you miss it the first time. Here we go: Do you, or do you not have information THAT YOU ARE WILLING TO SHARE regarding the other two girls?
Take your time with this one. I know it's difficult for you to dissect such a complex thought. Get back to me when you're finished.
i received the suggestion below in an email and thought it might be a nice gesture.
if you would like to send flowers or cards of support to the courthouse the address is:.

Aw...did tough guy get his feelings hurt? (Tear) Here's an idea: Why don't you go play with your little dub friends, hold some elders' hands, and crawl back into that hole you came from until you have something useful to say. Keep telling yourself that people actually value what you have to say and maybe you'll start believing it.

You are the best! Thanks for not letting such a backward, twisted individual detract from the real point here. FYI: There were two molesters, but not from the same congregation. One in WA, one in CA. From my understanding, the trial against Manuel Beliz is being prosecuted by the state. This may be why both are not currently in trial. Hope this helps.
