what do you all do with your free time now guys..like hobbies and what not..like you pioneers there is 75 hrs you have to play around with if you know what i mean not to mention meetings and bible studying etc.

I work 40 to 45 hours a week.
Spend time with my two beautiful grand daughters.
Like Mulan, Im into tracing my ancestry. Ive gotten back as far as 1749. Im helping my X husband trace his. He was adopted and we have found his birth mother and father.
Whatever time is left I use it for things like house cleaning, washing clothes and etc.

i was d'fd 18 months ago, i was prepared for the shunning within my family and the borg of all my friends (as i never associated with "worldly people") but i have been totally blown away with how nobody cares about my 2 young children!!.
my kids have not heard from their aunties and uncle since i was thrown out in feb '01.
Tish.it was the same way with my girls after I was disfellowshipped. My mother didnt shun them but she didnt pay them any attention either. She never called them or had them spend time with her. She wouldnt even keep them for me if I needed to go somewhere. Id ask her and she would say NO. Ill never forget the time my two girls and three of my sisters girls all were sitting around the dining room table. My mother was handing out Avon stuff [she sold Avon and had bunches of demos] to my sisters three. My two received nothing! My girls asked me why did Grandma L______ not give them anything. My girls are grown women now with their own families. My mother is still living. Im sure when she passes on there will be no tears in my girls eyes. The love was never there from her to them.
I have two grand daughters myself and I cannot imagine life without them. They are my world. I love finding notes around the house after they leave that say, I love you MawMaw. I want them to know how much they are loved.

Larc..you have been out five years longer than myself. I have had no verbal discussions with anyone as to what has been going on at the Society. So much has changed, like what people with positions are called & etc. This forum has taught me so much.
Some of the abbreviations that are used I have no earthly idea what they stand for. I think Ill start writing them down and then Ill post them for someone to tell me.

Boy..............my brothers and sister are in trouble!!!!!!!! They sit down and break bread with me. My sister has drove half way (she lives in the state next to me) to meet me for dinner. They have even included me, when I'm in town, to eat with them at a restaurant. This includes one of my brothers who says he is one of the 144,000 and another brother that is an Elder.
Laying all jokes aside........I have noticed from my reading on this forum that it seems to be according to which area you live as to how you are treated and how they (JW's) view treating a df'd or da'd person. Or could it be my siblings are doing this behind the JW's back? I don't know and I don't ask. I really believe that what the MS has printed about treating dissfellowshiped people is getting ready to come home to me. I think my socializing days with my siblings is coming to an end!!!

Which is worse, having your family disassociate from you or having them around, coming to your home, calling on the phone etc? See, my siblings will talk to me, but I have to go to their homes. They do not and have not ever been to my home. The only time they call is if there is a death in our family and the person that passed has to be a very close relative (aunts, cousins and etc. do not count). It has hurt so many times when I have asked about so and so and they tell me "Oh, they passed away". One of my brothers is an Elder. Last October he asked when was I coming back. I told him never and then I went on to explain to him as to why. He didn't go into any details as to why I should come back, only that they love me. That was the end of the subject. He didn't pursue and try to change my thinking. But you know what? In their on way, I know that they do love me. Years ago my nephew and I had a discussion about the shunning and other things. He had an answer for everything I disagreed with. They are programed that way.
I have read about all of your posts and I have to agree with Jewel, nativenyr23 and Outlaw. Slow down. Don't let this consume you or eat you alive. Take it easy and let your mother talk. In time you will come to terms with all of it. I know you want your family to see what they are practicing is wrong. Remember, that is what a cult is. They take over your brain. What makes me happy to be alive is what my grand daughter said to the elderly woman in front of us at the check out in the grocery store. At this time she was about four or five years old. She had struck a conversation with this lady, which in its self is unusual, as she is shy. She tells this lady that I'm her Mawmaw and that I'm the bestist Mawmaw in the whole world. I melted right there!!!!!!!!
