Cognitive Dissonance is the feeling of uncomfortable tension which comes from holding two conflicting thoughts in the mind at the same time.

Its an awful process to go through, and some cope better than others. Or should I say, come to a quicker conclusion than others.
If there is poisen in the drinking water, however small an amount, would you drink it?

2016-4-4-BOE!--Scanning and Sending Medical Records through Emails!
by Atlantis ini was always under the impression that only "licensed" persons had the authority to do this.. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------.
2016-4-4-boe scanning and sending medical records through emails!.
.. this is the last paragraph of the main body of the boe without the top and bottom, which revealed the congregation and information which could expose our source.. .. "therefore, brothers, i appeal to you to make sure that a copy of the new add for every publisher is kept in alphabetical order, perhaps using an a-z filing system to expedite it's location and so that it can be kept neat, clean and legible for scanning and emailing for up to 4 years, after which a new copy should be completed.

In the interest of clarity, both my wife and daughter are registered nurses in the Uk.
To access medical records is a lengthy drawn out process, mostly because everything at the moment is being slowly transferred from paper to electronic. (system 1 or EMIS)
The max charge to access paper from NHS is £50. Electronic, if yours have been fully transferred, is £10. You have to pay this to get access. It can be more if practise is GMC or private. They can charge what they want.
Who you then give it to is up to you. (Why would you?)
If however you have no interest in looking at your own records, but still give permission on a jw/hlc form for them to gain access, it is ONLY access to immediate care notes, not the whole med file. ( ie a car crash victim.) The hlc would also have to pay the above costs to have a written copy.
No health professional is allowed to distribute your med info electronically without a power of attorney in place.
The hlc would not be allowed access to all records unless they went through legal channels. They would have to have a VERY good reason to obtain all your records even with your consent, eg power of attorney.
So, its not as simple as just signing over an nhs number and they have everything about you on tap.
If there is something to this letter, it would be interesting to say in the least how it pans out.
Hope the info is useful.

Another JW Literature Trolly Experience
by Athanasius inthis morning i stopped at dollar general to get a cheap container for waste paper.
it was 11:30 am and there were two jw literature trolleys parked near the store and manned by three jws, on old man in a rolling chair, a 30 something man, and 30 something woman.
as i walked by them i glanced at the their literature rack and proceeded into the store.. i was in the store for 20 minutes and made my purchase.

The two elders threaten my sister again
by opusdei1972 inas i reported here in this forum, some time ago, my sister was constantly harried by two elders so as to be submitted to a judiciary committee for apostasy.
these two elders were constantly hounding her in the street when she walks to go to her job.
so she had to send them a notary letter in which she wrote that she would attend the judiciary committee only with her attorney.

Our elders wanted a dissociation letter off us, 2 years after we stopped going.
I politely and calmly told them that if any one brother was willing to get on the platform and mention our names in any way, shape, or form, that I would be contacting my solicitor, and suing that particular brother for broadcasting our personal names in a public place without my written consent.
(uk right to privacy act includes any private information not to be disclosed without express consent unless it is deemed a public interest, ie government bodies. Think the human rights act is similar) ref: https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/law-and-rights/civil-rights/human-rights/what-rights-are-protected-under-the-human-rights-act/your-right-to-respect-for-private-and-family-life/
Its worth mentioning that it would be hard to prove a whole body of elders was complicit in making such an announcement, not to mention time consuming. One elder is easier to target in the instance of a public announcement being made. It also serves to put the elder off from doing so. It makes him think twice.
What the elders want from you is some type of closure. They hate loose ends, because it makes them appear powerless. By going down this route, you have stopped them trying to collect info on, stalking, asking other people about you etc, because they know its a waste of time.
It worked for us, not a peep for 7 years so far.

Plans for huge Jehovah's HQ take shape
by Formerbrother inhttp://www.chelmsfordweeklynews.co.uk/news/11227290.plans_for_huge_jehovah_s_hq_take_shape/.
its going to be a real beautiful place when its finished.. they are going for quality over quantity.
it used to be accommodation for a few thousand permanent residents, now its looking like less than a thousand permanent with the possibility of a few thousand more in temporary accommodation should the need arise.. some say the plans are going to be like a garden of eden in england :) i mean they had farming in london over the years but this is going to be epic what they are planning for temple farm at chelmsford.. they are planting thousands (literally) of fruit trees, including tropical fruits in huge green houses, huge vines yards and then the same basic farming activities as before.

Prophecy vs. Profits ...See
by Perry inwhile we had our eyes fixated on our "one-time" idol the watchtower and their false prophecies like the generation of 1914 that wouldn't pass away, 1975 etc.
; a number of real prophecies were unfolding.
we just weren't taught to look for them.

Just because the JW'S are wrong doesnt mean theres no god.
by atomant inl;ve been giving this some serious consideration lately.l dont have all the answers no one does.we are all entitled to our opinions.l certainly dont believe in evolution as lve researched that subject extensively.lt's important to believe in something even if its for mental health.l believe everything happens for a reason.l also believe if we all live as close to the 10 commandments as possible this world would be a far better place to live and no one can argue with that.
