i'm sorry i just had to post this.
i'm sitting reading all the post on the tv shows and movies we weren't allowed to watch.
i am now completely hysterical laughing out loud at how insane this all was.
I know crazy stuff.I was told by an elder to throw away a stuffed animal my daughter's grand father gave her. The stuffed kittie probably had demons in it.LOL!
I never threw it away because and she still has it today.Her grandfather is now back in the JW's anyhow....lol

my 28 year old daughter has been with her partner for the past 7 years.
he has always been welcome in our home and has been a regular participant in our family celebrations.
yesterday, he was disgnosed with acute leukaemia and was told that without a blood transfusion, he would be dead in two weeks.
Oh wow,I am sorry this is happening.That was so selfish on his part!

i have been reading the posts for a while now, and it has really helped.
i wasn't sure if i should post, but i have been so touched reading about other peoples experiences that i wanted to share mine.

Yes,it can be a non-win situation,when you are involved with a JW. Sorry if you are hurt but you will be very relivied you never became involved with them.

think of all the time and energy you wasted sitting in meetings, going door to door and refraining from making friends and having enjoyable association with non dubs.
think about how much of your finite life is lost to you because you were a witness.
think about how foolish you looked, hanging on to the false teachings and empty hopes for the future.

Sorry hun,you are feeling this way. Saint John's Wort is great,but if your on the pill,it interferes with that.
it's been over 12 years and every once in a while i .
catch myself sing kingdom songs.......only religious.
songs i've ever knew.
Nope I don't remember them but I do remember the songs I grew up with,from church and bible school.
i finished work 5 hrs ago, and went straight to the pub since then.
i just wanna say thank you for all the help i've been given, its helped me more than you'll ever know.
i love you all fro helping me break free from the watchtower.
