by Mary inwhat's the worse thing you ever did while drunk (assuming we've all been drunk).........when i was 16, we all got blitzed out of our minds at a witness wedding that happened to take place on hallowe'en.
anyway, on our way home we thought it'd be funny to whip eggs at passing cars.
unfortunately, the first (and last) car i hit was a cruiser.......i realized this as the egg was in mid-air.

Ohhhh gezzzzzz,my worst drunk story.Should I tell??? Not a good evening to tell you the truth....
Here I go,I went to visit my friend out of town one evening and of cousre I drank wayyy tooooooo much.I was having a grand time and lost my friend at the bar.So I made my way back to her house and she still wasn't home.I tied to get in her door ,wasn't open,so I tried her windows....couldn't get em open ither.I was getting a little sleepy,so I passed out on her lawn.While I was sleeping peacfully under her window,someone reported a break in on their neigbours home.I was rudely awakened from my slumber snooze,in the cold comfy grass buy 6 police.They threw me in the back seat,read me my rights,and were asking me many questions I don't remember.Then my stomache started to turn.....there was Heather....vomiting over the nice police man's boot.
Finally my friend made her way home and told them,who I was and I was her friend.....
On top of that..this is the real nasty part....She had this friend that I didn't like at all.She let her 3 yr old drink and get smacked around by her Bf,so I attacked her.I was sitting on top of her with my hands around her neck.....not good.I'm not the type of person to hurt anyone,but when it comes to children,I become very upset.While I was doing this,I dropped my wallet and someone stole it.ackkkkk.I was stranded with no money.
When I woke up from my nitemare of an evening,I discovered I dislocated my thumb when I attacked that woman....I had to go to the hospital..smelling of beer and smoke...and he snapped my finger in place..OWEEEEE
That was a evening of learning,I have never drank like that again.Well thats my story and I feel like this....

I had no intention for this to turn into a trinity debate.I'm not talking about there beliefs or the John 1:1 scripture or hell fire.But I assume anyone who is trained in the greek lang,would be able to see what bible is closer to the greek transcripts....I'm talking about the whole bible in general.gesshhhh lol

i was raised in the jw cult from birth, a third generation member to boot.
my family was full of elders, ministerial servants and overseers of all sorts.

Well,I agree with what most of you are saying but my main point I was trying to get across was "most greek scholars donot" agree with the NWT.I'm not talking about what they believe,but each to their own.
Sometimes it seems on both sides,they translate the bible to how it suits their doctrines.Oh what to really believe???
I must learn some greek here and translate it to what I believe,anyone here know greek and have your hands on some(old) greek transcripts?

Mantey (who is even recognized by the Watchtower as a Greek scholar since they quote his book on page 1158 of their Kingdom Interlinear Translation): calls the Watchtower translation of John 1:1 "A grossly misleading translation. It is neither scholarly nor reasonable to translate John l:1 'the Word was a god. 'But of all the scholars in the world, so far as we know, none have translated this verse as Jehovah's Witnesses have done." "I was disturbed because they (the Watchtower) had misquoted me in support of their translation. I called their attention to the fact that the whole body of the New Testament was against their view. Throughout the New Testament, Jesus is glorified and magnified--yet here they were denigrating Him and making Him into a little god of pagan concept . . .1 believe it's a terrible thing for a person to be deceived and go into eternity lost, forever lost because somebody deliberately misled him by distorting the Scripture!. . . Ninety-nine percent of the scholars of the world who know Greek and who have helped translate the Bible are in disagreement with the Jehovah's Witnesses. People who are looking for the truth ought to know what the majority of the scholars really believe. They should not allow themselves to be misled by the Jehovah's Witnesses and end up in hell.
In order to present the appearance of scholarly backing for their translation of this verse, the Society had to intentionally misquote Dr. Julius R. Mantey and H.E. Dana's Manual Grammar of the Greek New Testament. Both Dana and Mantey firmly held to the historic Christian belief in the Triune God as is evident throughout their Grammar. The late Dr. Mantey had on several occasions issued statements concerning the misquotation of his statements by the Witnesses, even writing a letter to the Watchtower headquarters in Brooklyn demanding references and quotes from his book to be removed from their publications. They ignored his request!
