  how many people got sick after they were baptized.

  englishmans post reminded me of my experience.

  i was about the 20th person to go through the little pool not much bigger than a bath tub.

  ..after you were baptised, and how did you feel?.

  i went for a swim, having got baptised at orchard beach, new york.

  i was disappointed that i didn't feel any sort of warm glow.. when my dad was baptised, it was at epsom circuit assembly, london.

  @ MAC,

  I had some of the same feelings.I changed my mind before I took the dip but went ahead and went for a swim.All I could think of,was I had a bad perm and I was going to look funky all day.LOL I had a small bald spot on my head from the perm, and I rushed to the bathroom to fix my hair. A few months later I DA myself.

  White Christmas, QUESTION?

  in my part of the world, it *usually* snows in the winter time.

  also, because of that fact that it usually snows, dubs were inclined to hope for no snow at christmas time.. they felt that it was a good thing and would ruin christmas for those celebrating it if it didn't snow.. (at least thats how i interped the remarks i heard.).

  how did you feel about a white christmas when you were a dub?.

  I do recall,hearing JW's say..oh yeh they got their snow to make their christmas day...things like that.It was awwwweee..shoot,they got snow.

  around christmas time, people tend to eat too much and gain weight.

  do you gain weight easily?

  does it get you mad to see some people eat alot and stay slim?

  I'm still loosing weight after I had my daughter.....I put on A LOT of weight.I'm just about there...10 more pounds and I'll be at my goal ,a size 7/8.whoo hoo!I'm a person who lets "MY" weight bother me,but I have been convincing myself...not to let it bother me anymore.My hubby tells me not to loose too much because he won't have a bum to squeeze.. I usally donot weigh myself,I measure(sp) myself.I excerise and use weights,and the weights can make me seem overweight.When I was a size 7,I weighed 150 pounds and I'm 5'6.If your a healthy size for your height I wouldn't worry about weight.I hate scales..I stay away form em...

  in no way is this meant argumentativly, but why all the hype over the true name of god being jehovah?

  A catholic monk,yrs back(can't remember the time) came up with the name Jehovah.Mabey he got it right,mabey he didn't.The JW's don't mind that teaching from the catholic's do they?

  hi, i'd just like to know if there's some people who talk in french here??

  i'm from quebec and sometime, i feel alone althought it's not as hard as it was last year because i have some new wordly friends.... bonjour, j'aimerais savoir si certaine personnes qui parlent en francais viennent ici??

  I'm still a believer in God,but not how the JW's teach doctrine and living forever.I'm not even sure how to believe what God has in store for me but I do believe life goes on....What ever comes my way,I'll deal with it.
