we are in the midst of the worst blizzard of the winter today.. state of emergency.. for nova scotia has been just declared.. snow plows have stopped plowing and are looking for stranded motorists.. series 103 highway has been declared impassable... i'm bunkered down with my 3 kids..and can hardly see out the windows..they are all gummed up with horizontal snow... sincerely bunkered down with my kids.. special k
Yes,what a lovley day.I think I must go out for a walk.....oh I can't its snowing and I can't open my door!
Suuuuummmmeeeeeeeerrr!
Take care all you fellow Nova Scotianers.
witnesses love to use the scripture at matthew 24:9 where jesus says that, "and you will be objects of hatred by all the nations on account of my name.
" as "proof" that since they are disliked by most of the world that they are in fact approved as god's chosen people.. isn't it interesting that people "hate" jehovah's witnesses not on account of jesus' name but on account of jehovah's?
so, technically speaking, jehovah's witnesses do not fulfill this prophecy.. later in verses 23-26 it says this: "then if anyone says to you, ?look!

This is something, that always bothered me,when I was involved with the JW's.
On another site,I used to visit,I brought this up to JW's,not one responded to that.To no surprize.
when my daughter was a toddler and i was still in the org, i would bring her to the meeting.
it was pretty difficult because she wouldnt want to sit still and i would end up just sitting in the womens restroom with her for most of the meeting.
often my parents, and even my siblings who had children of their own would say "what she needs is a good spanking!!
All the time,I was told to spank her harder and I wasn't spanking her enough. I was told by a sister,my daughter was going to loose her life during the tribulation, because I can't keep her quite. So I should spank her.
Siiiighhhhh, freaking religion. No wonder there is so many depressed JW's.
this drives me crazy.
i woke up with "i want to" in my head this morning... havent been to a meeting lately, so what gives?
does this ever happen to any one else?
You know,I don't remember one song...yay!
it's sunday morning, shouldn't y'all be at the kh?
i can't believe that you all would rather be doing something else besides sitting at the kh enjoying the latest spiritual nourishment served up from the loving gb.......you must be a bunch of heathens!
heh, i am getting ready to go to work and then i am having my latest beau over for sunday dinner.
ROTFLMAO!!!!
Too funny Robdar! Thanks for the laugh.
things that are downright impossible to say when you're drunk:.
thanks, but i don't want to have sex.
nope, no more booze for me.
just to give you a bit of background: i was diagnosed with uterine cancer a couple of years ago and had to have a hysterectomy.
naturally i got more support from all my worldly friends and co-workers than what i did from people at the hall, but am used to that by now.
anyway, a few days ago, someone from the hall told me that sister x (one of the elders wives who is a nosey, back-stabbing bitch) had been saying things about me like "she shouldn't have had a hysterectomy because that's showing disrespect for the reproductive organs that jehovah gave us" and that i apparently was "lacking in faith" by not "leaving it in jehovah's hand" and didn't i read that article in the botchtower or asleep!
Wow,good for you.
That even made me feel wonderful, how you told her off.YES!!!!
Glad you had the operation and your still here to tell us that story!*****hugs******

LOL Robdar.
Nevaaaaaa!!!!
jehovah's witnesses certainly have some unique beliefs and some are very, very confusing.
anything that you never quite understood?
The transfiguration, never made sense the way they taught it.
