Mass Killing With Car In Germany Kills 5, Injures 200 People, Why Not Ban Cars?
Five people are dead, Two hundred people are injured, Forty are in Critical Care. But it's just not this incident of mass murder with a car. I remember seeing a news report from France years ago, about a man using a truck to kill a final total of 89 people, and injured Hundreds of others, and before he died, jumped out of the truck and starting shooting at everybody in his line of sight.
It's not Guns or Trucks or Cars.................IT'S CRAZY PEOPLE!
Some people are just Crazy for what ever reason, and you can remove all the guns in the world and all the Trucks and cars, and the Crazies will still find a way to slaughter as many innocent people as they can, and rape as many innocent children before you put them down.
Anyone can be crazy. A preacher, a banker, a child, a dainty woman, a fragile man, Anyone.
The politicians, the legislators and judges are not the brightest people in the world. They exacerbate the problem by making laws that allow these sick people free access to innocent defenseless citizens.
We have to accept the world we live in is filled with people who have no problem killing innocent children, let alone innocent adults. And no God, no matter how many times you sincerely pray, is going to save you or your family from these sickos. It's up to you to save yourself or at least level the playing field with an equalizer.

February 2016 Watchtower, paragraph 3 of the article titled
"Learn From Jehovah’s Loyal Servants".
In an attempt to cover up his adultery with Bath-sheba, David had Abishai’s brother Joab arrange to have her husband, Uriah, killed in battle. (2 Sam. 11:2-4, 14, 15; 1 Chron. 2:16)
Abishai may have known something about this, but he continued to respect David as the king appointed by God.
Moreover, Abishai ……….Rather, he defended David against traitors and other enemies.—2 Sam. 10:10; 20:6; 21:15-17.
In a very subtle and round about way, the Governing Body is telling the members, that as God’s appointed ones, if they are responsible for the Murder or injury of an of innocent person, man, woman, or child, you must be like Abishai, Loyal to God’s appointed one and show respect by leaving it in Jehovah’s hands instead of bringing Worldly authorities in to resolve the matter. Considering that all worldly authorities are controlled by Satan.
Isn’t that what happened years ago before the internet?
Finally the internet exposed all the thousands of hidden cases of Child sexual abuse by Elders appointed by God's Holy Spirit.....another stop think method to keep the member quiet.
Now the internet is exposing all the other ethical crimes committed by the WT, like no blood transfusions, shunning, deception,etc.
The GB knew they were going to be exposed so they made the quote in one of their Study Publications..........We must be ready to obey, even if it doesn’t make sense.

Yea, that's why MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of Mothers, Fathers, their children and tons of Grand Ma's and Grand Pa's are risking their lives, traveling thousands of miles on foot, and dealing with drug cartels, bandits, no food and very little water to drink, to come to the U.S.A.
BECAUSE IT'S THE MOST VIOLENT WESTERN COUNTRY IN THE WORLD

it would sound like they are hinting at a change in thinking.. in my opinion, any such change would be yet another slap in the face to faithful pimis along with those other recent changes.. there are so many heartfelt responses on that thread and a lot of justified anger.. don’t know what to say except that i’m so glad i never listened to the religion all those years ago.

I believe the article shows the religion wants to have it both ways. ‘Preach and don’t prepare for retirement/live in poverty’ and/or ‘Prepare for your Retirement but keep quiet about it’.. It’s called talking out of both sides of your mouth.

I imagine they are doing this so if in the future, If non-jws try to accuse the Organizatin that they discouraged the members from preparing for retirement, the Watchtower can say;
"That's not true, we've always encouraged our members to plan for retirement, just take a look at this WT study article where we encouraged our members to plan for retirement."
At the same time, they tell the members "THE END IS CLOSE...PIONEER IF YOU REALLY LOVE jEHOVAH!"
It's no wonder those poor people are so messed up!

The redditer who posted this on exjwreddit took one paragraph that had the phrase; "Retirement" and made it seem like the Watchtower is telling everyone that they should make Retirement a priority.
That's not what the article is saying. See link below.

China was 166th with 0.73 deaths per 100, 000 .
The incident cited was a very rare anomaly in China. One such incident in many years . Not like the school shootings in USA of which many occur each year
LOL........As if China and the UK don't control the narrative. Every reporter that has been to China and the UK and that has been able to reveal that Officials in these Countries organize people to keep journalist away from incidents of murder and mayhem shows that freedom of the press is not something these Countries enjoy. In the USA, WE DON'T HIDE TRAGEDIES, Every podcaster and journalist jumps on the incident right away.
The UK on the other hand is arresting people for tweeting the wrong thing on social media but letting pedophiles and other criminals out to target law abiding citizens
Why worry about Guns in the UK when you have something worse........Imprisoning people because they tweet the wrong thing on social media.

So one of my Uncles called me because I pointed out to my parents that the WT is now talking about retirement. My uncle is an elder and he called the CO to confirm if the WT is saying the end is not going to come for a long time so we should start planning for retirement.
The CO said that was not the intention of the article. The article makes it very plain that the END IS STILL VERY CLOSE............([probably in the next year or two, for sure during Trump's presidency...His words not mine)
I don't think the Watchtower is telling everyone that the end is not coming because in the same article they stress the end is close.
For example in paragraph 10 it says this;
As the present system of things draws closer to its end, we can expect economic conditions to worsen. Political turmoil, armed conflicts, natural disasters, or new pandemics might lead to unexpected expenses or to the loss of our job, our possessions, or our home. We may have to find new work in our current location or consider moving our family to another area in order to provide for them. What can help us to make decisions that show our trust in Jehovah’s hand?
In paragraph 17 is says this;
Jehovah’s loyal servants can count on his ability and his desire to satisfy their material needs. As we approach the end of this system of things, we can expect our confidence in Jehovah to be tested. No matter what happens, though, let us be determined to trust that Jehovah will use his power to provide for us materially. We can be certain that his mighty hand and his outstretched arm will never be too short to reach us.
The article is just comparing the lack of faith among Israel when they left Egypt and complained about their situation and didn't trust in Jehovah. They stressed how Jehovah provided quail and manna so don't worry about the future. They have a picture of a bunch of quail being provided by Jehovah. (it sucks being a quail)
The article before this one shows that the Watchtower is not encouraging the members to focus on retirement but on pioneering because the end is near. for example in the previous study in paragraph 7,8 it give this example;
Note how Javier, a a brother in South America, saw the need to walk by faith. He says: “I had applied for a prestigious job that would double my salary and provide considerable personal satisfaction.” However, Javier had the deep desire to pioneer. He continues: “I was recommended for an interview with the national manager. Before the interview, I prayed for help, convinced that Jehovah knew what was best for me. I wanted to progress professionally, but I did not want this job if it would not help me reach my spiritual goals.”
8 Javier relates: “During the interview, the manager told me that I would regularly have to work overtime. I kindly pointed out that I couldn’t do that because of my ministry.” Yes, Javier rejected the offer. Two weeks later, he started pioneering. And later that year, he found a part-time job. He says: “Jehovah heard my prayers and provided a job that fit my pioneer schedule. I am truly happy to have work that allows me to dedicate more time to serve Jehovah and my brothers.”
So they are still encouraging PART TIME JOBS instead of a regular full time job with benefits like retirement.
The have a bunch of other examples, you know, ....KEVIN, ROSA, etc., but not Andre.
Rosa wants to marry a non-jw but decided that Special Pioneering was a better option,so that's what she did.
So no, the Watchtower is not encouraging the members to seek retirement because the Last Days are far away.
Like the CO said; "The end will come during TRUMP'S PRESIDENCY"
I think the writer that mentioned retirement made a BIG BO-BO. Because they are still hunkering down on pioneering because the END IS CLOSE!

Sorry Liam, this is false info. The U.S. has a huge problem with guns

How is it that we own 50% of the Worlds Guns, but don’t lead the entire freaking Planet in Gun Violence?
When you DIVE into the stats, past the fear and the Media Headlines, you will find that the USA doesn’t even crack the Top 10 GLOBALLY in Gun Violence or death per capita.
And the USA is getting pretty close to 375 million freaking people from all nationalities and cultures, which includes the latest several million illegal aliens and terrorists that have invaded the Country, thanks to the current administration running the Country.
With all the millions of Guns and crazy people floating around in the USA, it only ranks 32nd .....in Highest Rate of death from Gun Violence in the World, and 3.96 per 100,000 people as of 2019.
