we get old because jehovah had to prove to all the angels that his way of ruling was the best?
that's the sorriest argument the watchtower has come up with.

Can you please provide independently verified evidence that these things actually happen
There is no verified evidence that some man 2000 years ago resurrected 3 people.
No cameras, no videos, to record the 3 resurrections.
They had no idea how the body works. No knowledge of the body's organs and how they function.
They attributed most sickness and death to DEmons, Spells, the anger of the Gods or God
On top of that, 2000 years ago, humanity lacked many modern technologies such as electricity, advanced machinery, computers, and the internet. Most tools and technologies were basic, relying on manual labor and simple mechanical devices.
Had no idea there was viruses, bacteria. Basically they had no idea about anything. Which is why Stories like the ones in the Gospels were so popular. It was the only entertainment in the whole world.........Story-telling!
Today we exchange those age old stories with NetFlix, Hulu, Disney, etc. Now we have Thanos who can remove half of the life in the entire Universe with a click of his fingers......and do it without inflicting any pain on the victims, or maneuvering the United Nations to coerce the armies of the world to destroy all Religion except the Watchtower religion of course.
Yea, we've come a long way.......but we still have a long way to go.

Like I said, Jesus only claimed to resurrected Lazarus when he said Plainly; "Lazʹa·rus has died"
About the little girl, He also said Plainly; “Stop weeping, for she did not die but is sleeping."
For someone who expects BILLIONS upon billions of people that have lived the past two thousands years, to believe some man that lived 2000 years ago, and has the power to resurrect hundreds of billions of people who have died from the time of Cave Men, with every single one of their memories intact.........IT'S ASKING A LOT base on three measly resurrections that are questionable to begin with.
Why didn't Jesus resurrect the grandma who had been in the grave dead, for the past 30 years. Why didn't he resurrect Lazarus during one of the Jewish festivals when thousands were visiting to witness the event?
Instead he resurrects less than three people in his entire lifetime, two that weren't even buried yet, and one in a secluded place with only friends around to witness the event.
Would anyone today believe some man living in the Middle East living in Hamas territory, whose close friends claimed he resurrected three people......... so he is the son of God? Of course not.
But what if some man started resurrecting thousands of people in the graves all around the world and all the media was recording LIVE the event as thousands of people that had been dead for the past hundred years were coming back to life. And the surviving relatives were testifying that IT WAS GRANDMA that had come back, Husbands testifying that it was their wife that had been resurrected. Parents testifying that it was little Johnny that had come back. Testimonies by the thousands. Live on TV. Anyone was welcome to see the next event of resurrections.
What impact would that have on convincing people that this man performing thousands of resurrections was God or sent by God?
If this man said; "Follow me and you will have life eternal"
That would end all doubt and Atheist would cease to exist. Everyone would bend their knee immediately without any questions.

The best part of being a "conspiracy theorist" is not suddenly developing myocaditis, T-cell exhaustion, turbo cancer, Bell's palsy, lupis, POTS, autoimmune conditions, transverse myelitis, amyloidosis, chronic vertigo, Guillain-Barré syndrome, tinnitus, paralysis, sharp decrease in platelet levels, increased risk of mental disorders, thrombosis from strange long blood clots that look like white vien worms, vien spiders or grape jelly.
On top of that, contracting COVID repeatedly with every single symptom increased. Metastasized Cancer. Lymphoma, Pancreatic, Lung and Skin all increasing and Turbo cancers.
The year elementary school children needed a pediatrician as well as a cardiologist and healthy athletes started collapsing on the field was the year the media should have been asking questions.

.Halcon; raised a little girl from the dead who's father had become inconsolable...
That account is found in two Gospels; Luke 8 and Mark 5. Here's my question. In Both accounts all the people at the house are crying and wailing loudly saying the girl is dead.
Jesus tells them the girl is NOT DEAD BUT SLEEPING.
Luke 8:52 Stop wailing,” Jesus said. “She is not dead but asleep.”
Mark 5:39 He went in and said to them, “Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep.” 40 But they laughed at him.
Jesus is the TRUTH....He has no Sin......He cannot LIE.
The People are sinners....they are prone to lie..........they were not doctors.
So who do we believe? Jesus to tell the truth, or the People who said she had died?
If we believe Jesus tells the truth, then The Girl was not dead because Jesus said so.
The people who said she had died were all lying because of ignorance.
That means Jesus DID NOT RESURRECT THE LITTLE GIRL.
TWO; a widows son during a funeral.
Ever heard of the Lazarus Effect?
Earlier this week, family members of 76-year-old Bella Montoya gathered to mourn her at a funeral parlor in Ecuador. About five hours into the funeral, they heard a strange sound coming from the coffin.
When family members opened the coffin, they found Montoya gasping for air. Paramedics returned her to the hospital where, only hours earlier, she had been declared “dead” by doctors due to complications with a stroke. Montoya remains in the hospital in intensive care.
While we only hope that incidents like these remain few and far between, Montoya is hardly the first person to “come to life” in a coffin at a funeral home. According to CNN, earlier this year, an 82-year-old woman was pronounced dead at a nursing home on Long Island, NY, only to be discovered breathing at the funeral parlor a few hours later. Luckily, in these cases, the two were found alive before premature burials.
That leaves only one more, Lazarus. Why was he only resurrected among friends that knew the family? If God wanted everyone to know He was sent by God or was God, why not resurrected Several people from the graveyard who had been dead for years and their bodies already decomposed. No greater testimony could be given as a witness that Jesus had the power to resurrected those dead for years and restore their body and mind intact.
If that would have been done publicly for all to see, even the Romans would have bend their knees to Jesus and worship him right then and there. People would be coming from all over the world to see such a man perform such miracles.
God's Kingdom could start right then and there and all the suffering, death, child sex abuse, could have been avoided for the past 2000 years.
It would be a paradise baby!

in 2025, the jehovah’s witnesses have taken their doctrine of isolation to a new extreme.
once known for their door-to-door evangelism, they now stand silently beside literature carts, refusing to engage in meaningful conversation with the public.
The Governing Body is s l o w l y killing the preaching work. It’s not a coincidence that they introduce carts. Where Nobody talks to people. They just sit, drink coffee, browse the internet on their phone. And the rest of the publishers do a lot of letter writing.
There’s just a few True Believers that think the end is real close.
Those are the regular pioneers. But I don’t think that will last another
10-15 years. Sooner of later the whole carts, letter writing, and
pioneering is going to morph right before our eyes into witnessing to
ourselves.

Elders and other hardcore JW are TODAY screwing with people's lives. ..my oldest is 18, my second oldest is 13, the latter is definitely being impacted by strict JW rules and threats of disfellowshipping
and fear getting kicked out of the house if they don't toe the line, the older one was taken from me 18 years
Anomy Mous, what I’m saying is the Organization is making sweeping changes to the way things are handled.
I’m not saying that ALL Congregations are applying the changes.
The problem is that some elders, and CO have their own PERSONAL view on the way things should be run in “Their” congregation. A good example of this is what DF posted;
DisgruntledFool Many of the old timers here remember when brothers were counseled if they didn't wear a white shirt, wore multi colored socks and didn't wear a suit (matching pants and coat) and when sisters were hounded to keep their dresses and skirts at exactly the middle of their knees!
I asked my dad about this and he said the WT Society Never had a policy that said You Must Wear White Shirts when giving a talk. But some Elders took it upon themselves to enforce that rule.
Also there was a letter to elders posted on reddit that discouraged removing individuals without some extra steps being taken. I don’t remember the exact steps but they were suppose to have several discussions to help the person change course over a period of time. The goal had changed from "Removing the Unclean, to Helping one to change course. And if after all that the person refused to make changes, he was “Removed” But the person still had the opportunity to appeal the decision.
Now if the Body of elders strays from the instructions, that’s on that particular Body of elders.
I know on reddit, there are experiences where the elders hound some of the publishers, and several experiences where the elders don’t bug anyone about anything anymore.
Your 13 year old son is probably unfortunate to have a strict parent or parents and a strict elder or body of elders in his Kingdom Hall. I’ve read experiences like that too, and it’s terrible because it destroys the child’s confidence and freedom.
But the changes that the Organization is making is because they are trying to be more mainstream. They know the ship is sinking, and they are loosing the grip little by little. That’s why the no beard rule was removed, and the pants for women was allowed. And the Disfellowship changed to removed. And they have new instructions to help disfellowshipped ones come back and not to be to dogmatic in removing individuals.
The changes are not because they care, it’s because they are being forced to change by several governments.
My dad said in his hall, some of the old Elders refused to grow a beard when they announce it was ok. There was tension among the body. The old elders wanted to make it a rule that if a brother gave a talk, he had to shave. This went on for a while until the GB started giving talks with beards. Then the Old Elders had to give in, but they didn’t do it willingly.
It’s gonna take a while for the changes to be accepted by everyone. Probably the boomers and maybe the GenX will have to pass. Maybe by the time the GenY and Gen Z step in to run the KH, other things will change, like remove completely the shunning, blood doctrine a conscience matter, and the Last Days ideology.
They have to change if they want to survive.
And as one reddit poster said; “If you’re in a Congregation with A-Hole Elders, Move to a Congregation with reasonable elders”
If you have parents who are tyrants, make plans to move as soon as you turn 18.
Sorry for your kids, I know it's very difficult when you want to do good for those you love, but you don't have the power to do it. It's very frustrating. HANG IN THERE!
not really a scandal, but serena williams doing the crip walk on national tv wtf .
Liam, you should check out old posts here and what people have had to endure being a jw and especially by the elders.
Not far fetch at all. In the earlier 90's
It seems like before the internet, there was no way to post on social media the crazy stuff elders did back then. The WT culture was rife with crazy shenanigans by those in charge.
It's different today. The elders are very careful in what they do. They are aware of how easy it is to record with phone and hand it over to the police. Imagine two elders peeping through a window and getting caught on video. Off to jail they will go plus it will be all over social media that two Jehovah witness elders were caught peeping through a window. They would be toast.
Also most of the ones who attend the Kingdom Halls are people in their 60s and up. Most of the middle age and young ones don't attend, they ZOOM. The young and middle age only attend when they have a part.
Also there is no pressure to make so many hours in field service, all one had to do now is check the box that say you participated. I know several that haven't gone door to door since Covid lock down. They just write a letter or two and check the box.Hardly anyone goes out door to door anymore. From what they tell me, maybe four go out door to door on Saturdays. Most just write letters.
They can't even find enough brothers to handle the mics.
You can't tell the difference anymore between a JW and a "Worldly" person, All the men wear beards and most don't know how to keep them nice and trim. Most women wear pants. A lot just go casual and tennis shoes.
There no more hunting to disfellowshlip members. Now the elders have even been given instructions that if a minor committed fornication, the parents are suppose to handle it. In fact there is no more disfellowshipping. A member is simply removed if he is stubborn and wants to continue in a certain course not approve. A person can get reinstated almost immediately if they come back.
From what my parents tell me, the organization is just not the same. People have lost their faith in Jehovah. And it doesn't really seem like the end is coming in their life-time. That's actually what many believe now. But since they hardly attend the meetings, nothing is made of it.
I'm sure there are some congregations where the elders are old and strict, but those congregations with elders in their 30s-40s it's different.
not really a scandal, but serena williams doing the crip walk on national tv wtf .
truthlover123
If one was rumored to be having an affair, elders or certain ones in the congregation took to peeping in windows to try and catch them
LOL.....that sounds a little far-fetch.
I can't even picture a group of elders peeping in someone's window to try to catch them doing wrong. I've seen comedies of adults doing that to their children but GROWN ASS MEN WHO ARE ELDERS!
not really a scandal, but serena williams doing the crip walk on national tv wtf .
Magnum Back in those earlier days, any congreagation I'm aware of would have been shocked to see a JW do what Serena did, and it's really not the dancing, but just being there in that situation......The endtimes mindset was strong.
Sounds like I dodged a bullet.
Today, just about everyone 30 years old and below, don't give a hoot about what others do. It's more of a place where all your friends you grew up with go there, and you go there to hang out with them. Once some get married, they basically stop going to the KH, step down from privileges, and stay away from elders.
I guess that's what you call FADING.
Most stay on ZOOM for the sake of parents, but most don't believe in the END TIMES. They all know 607 is wrong. They know about all the child sex abuse in the organization. They know it's just another religion being supported by boomers and gen X.
The next generation of born ins will be even more vocal about not having anything to do with Watchtower. Especially since the parents who are 25-30 years old today are just in for the sake of parents.
Two more generations of born in and it's over for the Watchtower.
