Killed by my son

we're paintball enthusiasts.

sunday, we got together with 8 others for some paintball action.

two teams of 5. near the end of the game, i had snuck up on three of my son's teammates.

Thanks for the laugh. That story reminds me of my son and husband. He is a bit young for the paint ball sport at this time. But he and his dad love to do the same thing with the video games. Do you believe this, our 6 year old, is better than his dad when it comes to those video games. Daddy gets clobbered every time.

come on admit it, if you were brought up a witness you were dead scared that you were going to end up like the men you saw prowling the assembles and congregations looking for wives.. there would always be men and women in there 30's and 40 who had never had a boy or girl friend.. i used to know quite a few.. the horror of their lives shocks me.. now i not dissing anyone who has chosen not to marry that is their choice.but these people i know want to meet someone and get married.. but the bad news is that the older they get the harder it is to find a wife .what makes it worse is that the choice is so limited.. many of these grown men are even affraid of women .

why?.

because they are taught that even to look at a woman is to commit imorality let alone talk to one.. i knew a brother who had never had a girl friend , he was about 26 at the time.now a sister asks to go out with him so he accepts.quite soon she wants to hold his hand.. this brother now tells her off, for in the family book it says holding hands is only for people who are going to get married.. he doesn't go out with such a spiritually weak sister again.. what has the socity done to these peoples lives.. many people who were once happy teenagers hoping to meet the wife or husband of their dreams are now approaching 40 or even older and have never even had a girlfriend.theri only hope is the new system and i don't want to breack the news to them but its not coming.

Reading this sure does bring back the memories. Here was my experance, when I was in my early 20's. I had decided not to get involve with any one for a few short years. I was having way too much fun, part of that fun was traveling and other such things. Any way, I had decided that I wanted to try out the dating world. I was also at the point that I wanted to find that special some one. I remember this one guy that I dated, now mind you I had no intentions of marrying this fellow. He was the one who kept bringing up the topic of marrage. Most of our communication was done by either writing or phone. That lasted about 6 months or so. We went out on an actual 3 dates. I think if we had went out alittle more, I would have dumped him alot sooner. But one of the things he had said to me was, that how about we date for 10 years, and then get married. That was when I said forget it. I knew I wanted to get married, but not to him or when I was in my 30's. I said forget it. A very short time after that was when I would meet my husband. My husband at the time looked exactly like Doogie Houser (Neal Patric Harrison). Even in our engagement photo that was taken for the newspaper he looked like Randy Travis in his younger years. I figgure if I was going to get married, I would find someone who would help in producing adorable children. Any way, not to long ago, I saw that guy who wanted to waited 10 years to get married. Lets just say 10 years have come and gone. He is still living with mama, and getting creeper looking.

I was raised in it. I basicly just took people's word for it, but I grew up, and grew a little wiser. Now I don't take people's word at face value.

Ginger or Mary Anne?

no doubt one of the most ask questions ever.

no matter what age you are (in my case fairly young), you've seen gilligan's island, and heard the inevitable argument (especially amoung men), who do you prefer better: ginger or mary anne.. well, i decided to bring the debate here to jw.com, see if there's an (ex) jw consensus on the issue.. my personal favourite is mary anne, by the way.

they were both very attractive, but mary anne's personalty was more down to earth (or naive) to me, and i find that more desirable.
