it's interesting that margaret went on to be a jw (i.e.
stayed with the watchtower organization), whereas mabel, his half-sister, went on to stay with the bible students.it would be very interesting to find the descendants of both margaret and mabel... wondering how many still are bible students / jw's.... .
I think that the GB members would rather like their members to think of C.T.Russell like Melchizedek Heb.7:1-3
What other organization is ashamed / embarrassed about it`s past and early history that they need to re-write it before its even a hundred years old.
Why are they so keen to playdown their past.
Their publication "Jehovah`s Witnesses in the Divine Purpose" was a whitewash of their past history and probably gone the way of the DODO now.
a newspaper reports that in bornem, belgium, a jw volunteer was critically injured after being electrocuted:.
bornem - a man was electrocuted while performing maintenance on a high voltage installation in the assembly hall of jw in bornem friday afternoon.
the man was critically injured.. possibly the man, who is a volunteer with the jw, tried to clean the installation with a vacuum cleaner.
While my heart goes out for the poor victim and his family doing what he believes is "Gods Will) for him I sincerely hope his family sue the WT organisation for what they can get in compensation.

Other Brothers and sisters in dire straits "especially need the comfort that only Gods word the Bible can provide " because they obviously are not meeting the requirements of being spiritually strong enough failing in meeting attendance and not meeting the required hours of field service.
Whats that scripture that says something like when you see someone in need you just say go in peace without lifting a finger to help them ?
after 33 years as a jw and leaving 25 years ago i think prayer can be summed up with the jews praying at the wailing wall.. all they are doing is talking to a brick wall ,and getting no feed back.
and they expect an answer to their prayers ?!.

I`m surprised it hasn`t been made into a movie ,its almost unbelievable to be true but obviously it is.
For those not familiar with the book just a brief outline.

elder and his wife build a flash house.. they go on the stage at an assembly and give an experiences of how they sold the flash house to simplify their life so they can go pioneering.. the real story.. elder and wife can't afford the flash house and have to sell it he never goes pioneering she does until they are declared bankrupt.. why were they bankrupt?.
the money leaft over from the flash house they invested in a yet to be build apartment and the developer goes bankrupt takeing their money.. just one of many.. karter..

i wanted to relay an example that i heard about translating difficulties.
take the 5 word phrase.
"i didn't eat your sandwich".
And how many Bible Dictionaries ,Commentaries,Theologian discussions,Thesis,Translators of Hebrew Greek ancient and modern ,linguists ,etc ,etc.will it take to come to an acceptably accurate translation of the Bible ?
Never.
And if after 2000 years GOD has not joined the discussion ,I don`t think I will bother either.

And didnt the United Nations declare a year of Peace & Security in the 1980`s when instant destruction was to follow ?
And we are all still here except for many faithfull old JW`s who had put their faith in the GB of Jehovahs Witnesses and died before any of JW`s expectations ,evident realities about prophecies ever eventuated or was fullfilled .
