If Angels in the Bible are of neuter gender ? Then why are they always depicted as males by description and name ? And never a female ?
by smiddy3 inin all of the art i`ve seen in christendom, angels always have the form of a male, and in the bible those that are named always have a male name such as michael ,gabriel , etc, .
nowhere in the art world that i have seen do angels have the female form, and in the bible they don`t have female names.. so if the angels are neither male or female why then are they depicted as males with male names ?and not female also ?.
the watchtower illustrators also follow this line .when they illustrate an angel it is always in the form of a male and never a female form.. the anointed who make up the 144000 comprise of male and females right ?

The anointed who make up the 144000 comprise of male and females right ? Yet when they are in heaven ruling with Christ Jesus, WT illustrators always picture them as males with beards and not one female form amongs`t them ?
Why is that do you think ?
Is Christendom a misogynist religion ? Maybe not , at least in Christendom`s mainstream Churches, women do have an important role to play to varying degrees
Are Jehovah`s Witnesses a misogynist religion ? However in this religion women have no role to play except to be subservient to the male in authority.
And this despite the fact that Jehovah blessed a woman Deborah a prophetess and Judge of Israel, for fourty (40) years of peace. Judges Ch.4 & 5
So Jehovah was quite happy to have a woman in that role as a prophet and Judge for no less than 40 years.
How many JW women are aware of this fact ? and what it should / could imply.?

Jesus name - a convoluted trip back to Jehovah
by neat blue dog inone popular criticism of jw doctrine, and rightly so, is their emphasis on god's name at the expense of jesus.
one inconvenient scripture in this respect is when jesus says his followers would be persecuted "on account of my name".
a question from a recent clam meeting addressed this.. in the bible, the term “name” at times stands for the person who bears the name, his reputation, and all that he represents.

And the Christian Greek Scriptures (New Testament) is full of scriptures that Christians are to be witnesses of Jesus Christ in one way or another . { more than twenty }
Their is not one scripture in the Christian Greek scriptures that tells Christians in any way to be witnesses of Jehovah not one { 0 }

New Academic Paper “Shining a light on Reproductive Coercion White Paper” includes references to religious coercion and Jehovah’s Witnesses
by jwleaks inshining a light on reproductive coercion white paper.
“the jehovah’s witness religion i grew up in made me feel immense pressure to maintain my virginity.
i dreaded the prospect of being trapped by a lifelong commitment to a husband in a community that would dictate what we did in the bedroom and i started to realise that i did not belong because i didn’t want to be married or have children in that stifling community.” – ella, victoria, australia.

by Jxvi inthanks for reading (i'm sorry this is a little bit of a sensitive topic, though i'll try to be gentle.).
a little back story.
i have been working so hard to build my faith this year, and i am finally at the point where i am beginning to trust god and i want to build an unbreakable relationship with him.

Not meaning to sound like a dick ,but if she`s had a lot of pervious partners that should raise a red flag to you ? LOL
Seriously though ,you should listen to what ex JW`s have to say about the religion in other words get both sides of the story before you commit yourself in any way.
Their aren`t thousands if not millions of ex Jehovah`s Witnesses worldwide for no reason .Don`t be sucked in with the JW `s propaganda.

Hello...
by Incognigo Montoya inwell, i've been lurking for a bit.
first out of cautious curiosity, then, though feeling a bit more comfortable to post, got caught in the confirmation email anomaly, and left unable to post or participate.
so i remained lurking, reading and researching.

Its a good excuse to be able to eat drink and be merry with family and friends and have a good time associating with those you love and those that love you .
And let`s not forget the kids ,what a joyous time it is for them and the parents want them to have a special time.
Nothing religious about it at all.
I would hazard a guess that a great proportion of people in western lands and maybe also elsewhere that Xmas is celebrated by the majority of people who do not practice any Christian religion .
And that those who do attend a Church service at Xmas probably only do so on those other occasions such as Easter ,Weddings and funerals. If that.
