Their was an Elder in the last KH I attended that said " you can be walking down the street and you can tell a witness by their Kingdom smile " I kid you not.
He was a nut case through & through .
is it something they do?
how they say things?
how do you spot a jehovah’s witness?.

the money grab continues!!
at a very recent circuit assembly (usa), the accounts overseer gave the typical accounts report for the ca in the early afternoon.
there were 2100 people at the assembly.
The upside to this OP is that it may wake more people up to the fact that the JW religion is a cash cow for those in charge of it .
Jehovah owns all of the Gold ,Silver, Diamonds and gem stones in all of the Earth ,its about time he started paying his own way.
do today's elders ever meet with inactive members and pressure them to write a letter disassociating themselves from the congregation stating that, ''you no longer wish to a jehovah witness"?.
i was baptized at the young age of 16. after turning 18, i stopped attending meetings, field service, and all jehovah's witness activities.
i wanted to be with my high school friends, go to rock concerts, have a girlfriend, and live like a normal teen.
I`ve said it once i`ve said it before and I will say it again ,the G.B, Elders speak out of both sides of their mouth .
on an earlier thread about ice cream i remembered a snack that was sold at assemblies and that started me thinking about some of my memories of childhood at conventions/assemblies.
i guess it was the taste/smell association because even today when i go to various convention halls for home improvement expos, car shows and the like it takes me right back to the past.
i have many memories wrapped around the conventions and experienced different things because i have lots of elders in the family that were used, literally, for food service, the accounting office, security and dramas.
The brother who converted me gave an experience of converting me at a CA in St Albans ,a suburb of Melbourne
around Nov 1960 when My then GF and I were Baptised ,so that we could be married in a KH in 1961.
He took so long about it that the brother after him who was supposed to give his experience didn`t get a chance to.
did anyone else fall for this one?
i did pre-assembly work in my home town, this was obviously voluntary unpaid work.
i continued to do part-time work helping to support my mom who has been recently abandoned by my elder dad,.
Hey SF don`t feel too bad we were all nuts to fall for this BS in the first place .
have you ever wondered (when you were an active believer) what life would be like immediately after the big a?.
in my experience of the pre-big a spiritual paradise most witnesses were aware of the problem posed by the dead bodies of those slain by the bloody minded, would-be mass murderer jesus.
most liked to quote the author of the revelation, that carrion birds would eat the carcasses.
How would Jw`s in America survivors like the G.B. communicate with Jw`s survivors in the pacific islands ? Africa ,Siberia , Tasmania , or some other isolated place on earth ?
How would JW`s cope with
no gas
no electricity
no sewrage
no running water
no refrigerators
no tv
no movies
no aeroplanes
no transport
no food bowls to supply food markets
no food markets
no dairy farms
no cheese makers blessed as they may be
The list is endless of things that will not exist after Armageddon that J.W`s take for granted in today`s world.
Children addressing adults as brother or sister

JW`s don`t have a clergy Laity class : G.B. ,D.O. ,C.O. , Elders , M.S. , etc.,etc.,
Except in a court of Law. Then they claim Clergy Penitent privilege .
The wife and I did have a good social life with a certain few, camping ( booze) Restuarants (booze) scrabble nights (booze) house get togethers (booze) this was a congregation with Elders and MS which I was one about our own age.
And I often wonder now if any of them have left

Their must be a few others on here if not plenty of them that must be wondering if they are officially DA ,LOL
Why ? because when I DA`d myself many years after leaving the Borg I was never contacted back again to verify my action and since i had moved to another state that they knew of I wonder if it was ever announced from the platform.?
Not that I really give a rats arse
Just saying
the jehovah's witnesses claim that the holy spirit is none other than a force... however when we compare scripture with scripture, we begin to see that the holy spirit is a person.as the jehovah's witnesses dispute this, the question still remains..."who/what is the holy spirit?".
the holy spirit can :.
be grieved.
