Do Jehovah’s Witnesses Ever Do Anything For Anyone But Themselves?
by minimus ini was thinking of how witnesses were always admonished to take care of their own before they should ever help a worldly neighbor.
i don’t think they ever do anything for the community unless it’s a benefit to them..

In their mind why would they ?
Unless your a JW your going to be destroyed by Jehovah/Jesus at Armageddon because your a part of Satan the God of this system of things world .
If a JW helps a non witness who has shown no interest in becoming a JW then they would be considered helping and supporting Satan`s system of things of this world that is lying in the power of the wicked one .
In contrast to this though is this .
How many aged and infirm Jehovah`s Witnesses do you know personally that are no longer cared for by family ,and certainly not by the Organization of Jehovah`s Witnesses and are in Church funded , or Government funded institutions and cared for by these institutions that they considered a part of Satan`s system of things or Babylon The Great ?
I know a few.

Clergy of whatever denomination should be mandated to report abuse whether it be sexual or physical abuse against minors or adults ,including domestic violence in the home and for that matter any crime that has been committed by a confessor to a clergyman .Elder ,Pastor or any other person who has heard of a confession of a crime in a religious setting.
It should be Mandated reporting and penalties applied for not doing so .
It should be a no brainer ?
JW`s claim they have no clergy yet claim clergy penitent privilege in a court of law .? Go figure.

I sincerely believe the Bible is an instrument that you can play any tune on to suit your own particular beliefs.
I know this is not original but it is a tune I subscribe to .

The King of the North has now entered into the 'land of decoration' (the Spiritual Estate of Jehovah's People) - Annual Meeting
by Listener inthe final part of the october, 2018 annual meeting has now been released of jw org tv.the following includes a transcript of mark sanderson's speech for those that don't want to listen to the broadcast.. we have long held that the land of decoration is the "spiritual estate of jehovah's people"... now brothers what can we say about all these events that have taken place (referring to recent events in russia) in such a short period of time?
well, truly, if you're a student of the history of god's organization, you can say these events are unprecedented in our history.
we've never seen a country or a territory with 175,000 witnesses of jehovah go under ban.

Pay attention, the annual meeting is not yet over. By the end of this meeting you will have the answer to that important question.
And the answer is ????
And did they give an answer ? or did they leave that up to the brothers and sisters to draw their own conclusions whereby the GB can say at a future date the bros and sisters went ahead of Jah`s celestial chariot .

Just peeking in for a bit...
by Jidders ini rather apprehensively would like to say hello.. i've been raised somewhat in the truth, one of my parents is rather rather strong in the beliefs but could honestly be considered pomi with how active they are and their side of the family comes from a line of witnesses, the other parent was but faded a long time ago.
as such i was taught quite a bit of jw teachings between family and off and on again bible studies.
recently i had a serious emotional break down over a few months after said pomi parent had advised me that they would not attend my wedding should that day come (i also had recieved a text from my bible teacher i hadnt heard from in a year or two giving a scripture) and it sorta all sank on me that my activity over the last few years was not really jw material.

Not to mention the pain and suffering of those they leave behind .
This has been news in OZ this Australia day long weekend , and I know this is a worldwide problem .
I know their is no answer ,its an individuals responsibility to manage their own life but its so sad it still happens.

Jehovah`s Witnesses /International Bible students Association have been around since the late 1880`s ,their hey day was from around the 1950`s to the 1990`s since then it has been all down hill with all of their selling off properties ,KH`s , Branch Offices ,reduced printing of all sorts of literature ,shelving off old time Bethelites into neighbouring congregations for them to look after , amalgamations of congregations ,continually beg for money/donations ,etc, etc.
This is not a sign of an organization religious or otherwise that is going places ,progressing and expanding ? Its a sure sign that this organization is in deep shit and is heading for rock bottom losing contributing $$$ members everyday and they are downsizing trying to stop the flow from getting any worse .
However its out of their control you can only pull the wool over someones eyes for so long ,eventually people remove that wool and see things for what they really are for the first time .
And then they take action to free themselves from bondage .

When I was a teenager and not then a JW my peers had told me about tying a piece of cotton on a gold ring and holding it steadily suspended over a photo of someone who has died and it would start to rotate in a circle or swing like a pendulum.
I cant remember which.
If you do the same thing with a gold ring tied with a piece of cotton suspended over the photo of a living person it will act opposite to what it does with a dead person either swing like a pendulum or rotate in a circle .
I did it once and it was true .
I have never tried it again
Just saying.
Believe it or not .
I don`t really care.

Welcome jidders glad to have you on board .You can speak your mind and ask any question you like and you wont be judged or ostracized in any way.
I second AudeSapere`s advice .
And I would suggest you think about this simple fact .
If the IBSA/JW`s as they are now called was approved by Jesus/Jehovah in 1919 as the F&DS class because of what they were teaching then ,
Jesus/jehovah would be rejecting them today simply because they have abandoned most of those teachings that were taught then .
Even with the year 1914 , what they taught and preached then is not what they teach about 1914 now .
They are forever re-writing their own history to cover over their errors/false hoods about what is going to happen according to what the WatchTower and other publications they have produced says.
Take care .
