My Bible Study Conductor's Letter to Me

recently, i wrote a sister, my bible study conductor, an email just telling her that i thought of her, and i thanked her for being a part of some milestones in my life many many years ago.

(for those who are reading my post for the first time, i was a very impressionable teenager at that time and i had the chance to live in their country for a while, spent much time with her, got to know her way of living, and essentially she became my life's mentor.

Her friendship with you is conditional ,you remain a JW or she doesn`t want to know you .

That should be all you need to know .

You are a much better person because you could be still friends with her knowing she is a JW however she can`t be friends anymore with you because you are no longer a JW .

Your better off putting it down to one of life`s experiences and moving on with your own life..

Waking up can be a scary time

as a person that has recently come to terms with the reality that the truth is not really the truth .

does anyone else remember the feeling when they realized things were just not true.

it’s wierd all the years i spent preaching i never really considered what it must have felt like to have two people at your door trying to convince you that your religion of birth was a lie.

Now that I have come to grips with this reality frankly it’s a punch in the gut. Part of me is feeling how stupid could I have been all these years. Part of me is ashamed and feel like I need to make amends for the damage I may have done.

I can relate to those sentiments as I feel much the same way and partly that is why I am here hoping that my contributions can help wake up a lurker or help heal a newbie in some way.

And i have been out since around 1993.

there are many good people here who know a lot about everything .

Welcome and take care ,as they say time heals everything sooner or later .

earlier i posted about the call from close family about that the end is expected in very short time.. today i had the opportunity to speak in person.. this is what is told to me:.

End times

if the watchtower think that these are the end times why dont they employ all the people who used to work at bethel to go door to door or go on the cart full time.after all money is no good in paradise .

pepperheart , you have missed the point my friend ,the Watchtower /GB / WTB&TS do not employ anybody at all .

All of Jehovah`s Witnesses from the Governing body members down to the rank & file member /publisher is no more than a volunteer .

Certain members depending on where or how they serve in the organization may earn a stipend however that in no way should imply that they are employees of the said organization .

They are only volunteers. and as such not employees ,legally

And the WTB&TS /JW`s are not employers ,legally.

But that`s how cult religions operate .

And they get away with it legally .

thanks to atlantis, this statement is mentioned on chapter 1 paragraph 1 in the middle.

but i like how the statement says members but the sentence right before has the governing body dudes in a collective whole like voltron here is the paragraph in whole.

1. governing body: the governing body of jehovah's witnesses is made up of brothers who are anointed servants of jehovah god.

In other words they "Are a law unto themselves" and I might add " may even be rejected for reasons known ONLY to the Governing Body "

Welcome Olig ,however be careful how much info you divulge about yourself here or anywhere else.You will get so much support on this forum but keep your true identity secret .Just be general about where you are from etc.

As Giordano says their is no need for your sister to rush into baptism because Jehovah knows her heart condition and Jesus didn`t get dunked until he was 30 years old .

Don`t let her get pressure from Elders scaring her with threats of persecution and the end is now so close .

I`m glad to hear you got out at such a young age ,and I wish you all the best ,take care and keep us informed on how you and your sister are going.

I had to laugh at the last 3 sentences Giordano posted ? We do have a sense of humour here LOL

I would love to see more Country`s around the world take this stand and prosecute Elders on a JC that never reported child sexual abuse to the appropriate authorities and only handled it in-house and not treating it as a crime.

It would make the Elders more accountable for their actions or rather inaction in dealing with child sexual abuse within the congregations and possibly make the Elders more aware of how the JW Organization leaves Elders out on a limb to take the blame and absolving the organization from any blame.

This case handled correctly could be a real wake up call for many ,I truly hope so .

Remember The Green Song Books

then new and improved purple song books that came out in 1966. then there was the brown song book and a even newer one in 2006. .

thousands of hours wasted singing those stupid songs and their stupid lyrics.. song 106 "watch how we walk and watch we talk.

i remember inserting different works in the lyrics to relive the boredom.

I think even Charles Taze Russell would turn over in his grave if he heard those songs sung at meetings.

In fact i think he would be turning over so fast he would be doing cartwheels in his grave .

I agree with what you state john.prestor 100% they, the governing body are religious charlatans

The Governing Body is organized to take the lead as Jehovah directs it by holy spirit.

Then how is it they can never get anything right ?

It either means Jehovah/Holy Spirit is a complete imbecile

or

The Governing Body are outright liars and fraudsters .
