Is it just me or am I being paranoid in thinking there seems to be an influx of trolls joining lately ?
Could it be a conspiracy of the Borg for some reason or other ?

Well just suppose that it is , though I don`t believe so personally, however it pales into insignificance with the massive animal sacrifice rituals that Jehovah God imposed on his chosen people .
1kings 8:62-64 "twenty two thousand cattle ,and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep that the King and all the sons of Israel might inaugurate the house of Jehovah .
Jehovah created these animals and has no qualms about offering them up as sacrifices.
Cain and Abel`s sacrifice to Jehovah Gen.4:3-6 Cain was a cultivator of the ground,whereas Abel brought the firstling`s of his flock even their fatty pieces,
Who got Jehovah`s favour ? Why Abel of course because he slaughtered one of Jehovah`s creations whereas Cain was found in disfavour because he offered up the first fruits of the ground.
I think Jehovah God got it arse about ,what do you think ?

Do we need spirituality or religion to be good socially responsible people ?
by Finkelstein inreligion is declining in many countries around the world and hardly exists in some countries.. it would fair to say that scientifically acquired knowledge has taken a bite of religious practice over the years.
the premising suggestion that there is a god looking at everything mankind does or should do is vanishing out the human consciousness.. should we emulate the social directives written in ancient manuscripts established by those ancients for their civilization ?
is it possible that mankind can control and guide itself now with all the acquired knowledge we have attained, toward the ending betterment of humanity ?

Many JW people and more likely other religious people have an inbred fear that if you leave religion you will automatically fall into immorality .And it`s not something that is easily dispensed with or shaken off.
My wife was a bit apprehensive at first thinking the worst.However as the years passed that fear went out the door
After 56 years of marriage at a KH and left the religion about 25 years ago after 33 years of active service no such fear exists anymore.

In the 1960`s I was taught that Jehovah didn`t create all of these Galaxy`s for nothing probably/possibly he plans to eventually populate planets in these Galaxy`s with those who have proved themselves faithful here on earth and the whole universe would be filled with humans praising Jehovah
I`m not sure if it was ever in print anywhere though ? anybody remember anything like this ? pre 1960`s ?

Bringing reproach on Jehovah's name.

i feel that the jw's do have the truth.
i do agree with the doctrines and biblical exgenesis they propound.i do feel that they have the 'truth' i do understand they are imperfect, and i think they have had to 'refine' their teachings as time has gone on-and change accordingly- i see nothing wrong with this.

Scotty is just one of those guys who left the "truth" but the :truth" never left them and they go back & forth in and out for years without ever coming to an accurate knowledge of what the real TRUTH really is.
Basically the reason is because it`s an emotional feel good feeling they get with the indoctrination and the false friendships that exist at Kingdom halls.
People like him/her have never really tested whether what the WT/GB say is factual and just take it on face value without doing their own private research of non JW material.
Do yourself a favour Scotty and research all that JW`s have preached these past 140 odd years then if you still think JW`s have the truth you deserve each other.

Welcome Pom ,the majority have gone through what you are now going through don`t let that get you down.It took me a couple of years before I shook off all the shackles that bound me.
That was about 11 years ago when I first was introduced to the internet.I am indebted to those guys forever.
At first I could not believe some of the things I was learning about the religion, continued research proved these things true.
I hope you stay around on this forum ,I have learnt and proved more about the JW religion than I ever knew in my 33 years as a Jehovah`s Witness .
What organization is ashamed of their early history that they need to continually re-define their early history .
What they say now about their origins compared to what was actually printed in there publications does not gel.

What gets my goat about the "real life" cases that happen is the response Elders and the organization give
",We abhor Child Sexual Abuse and the parents have every right to report such a case" or words to that effect.
What they fail to acknowledge is the fact THEY should be reporting such abuse when it comes to their attention .however THEY continually fail to do so.
This fact was made quite clear in the ARC into child sexual abuse in institutions.
This very same fact has been demonstrated in other Child sex abuse cases in the JW organization around the world.
On the one hand they claim they abhor child sex abuse among Jehovah`s Witnesses
On the other hand when it comes to their notice of child sex abuse against a Jehovah`s Witness minor and they hold a Judicial Committee of three Elders to investigate they ALL fail to notify the appropriate authorities of the crime.
They neither protect the child in the congregation nor do they protect children in the community by withholding such information from the authorities .

I hope Dogpatch is OK as he was one of the first ones I came across when I first had a PC about 10-12 years ago and like others have said I found this site through him.
Another one I would be thankful for for my knowing TTATT is Shaun`s site ,10 or 12 years ago ,I am indebted to both of them for where I, and my family are today .
