perhaps this line of questioning could agitate a jw's thinking.

it can't hurt.. you: is shunning a biblical teaching?.

jw: yes.. you: so it must be god's law?.

How much LOVE did Jehovah show the human race during the 4,000 years or so leading up to the baptism of Jesus ?

Wasn`t Jehovah responsible for the deaths of millions of people ,male,female,young ,old ,children ,as well as millions of livestock that were offered up as a sacrifice to him during those 4,000 years or so ?

Doesn`t the Bible say that Jehovah is the same today as he was yesterday and is the same as he will be tomorrow ? or words to that effect ?

Maybe just being shunned is not as bad as being slaughtered by the God of LOVE.

PS. I`m a victim of shunning also .

Strange Justice

Let me get this straight : So a spirit Son of God is miraculously born to a female human who is not God-Man but obviously has super natural powers that no other human has and his life is supposed to equal the life of Adam ?

Who wasn`t a Spirit being in the first place and had no super natural powers of his own.

Eve was fully human and was tarnished with the sin of Adam as every other woman was so Jesus had to be at least infected with 50% of Sin as well , surely.

The scales of Justice don`t seem to balance out in my book.

I have never heard of this concept before today do they have them here in Australia ?

it sounds like a bloody good idea but why not just put stickers on that say No religious material wanted and if they still persist write to the offending organization threatening to sue them

What's it like these days for teenagers?

i converted at age 22, and left 15 years later (1988) so i don't really know what its like to be in high school as a jw.

for those of you who do know: do teenage jw's hang out with each other?

It is one of the greatest`s regrets of my life that I brought my two boys up in this religion .I hate to think of what their brains were trying to analyze in their younger years going to school and being set apart from the rest of the kids.

In later years it may have been a bit more relaxed because we were in a community where their were a lot of JW kids in their school and as I have found out later they got up to a lot of mischief that their parents including me never knew about .

Thankfully as a family my wife and two boys are all out now and are living successful lives .

While I cant speak authoritatively for today`s kids going by past experience I would say the majority of today`s youth in the religion are still doing their own thing without their parents knowledge , in other words leading a double life.

Doing what they themselves want to do on the one hand

and pleasing their parents by doing what they expect them to do on the other hand . {Reluctantly }

But hey ! I`m glad he`s their as a spokesperson for the religion , because surely any sane person in their right mind not being a J.W. would view this and say WTF ? is this guy for real ? No way would I join up with this religion as him as an example

So keep him on J.W.org your doing us all a favour.

Lost in Space -Netflix- No spoilers.

i have just finished watching the first series 10 episodes and at first i was just a little bit curious and not to sure about it however it certainly grew on me .. it deviates from the old tv series and has a slightly more darker side to it as well as being a bit more modern with life situations judy being coloured and adopted ,and john and maureen a couple with issues and the robot is just out of this world .lets not forget dr.smith as a female and more sinister than her counterpart of the tv series.. i would rate it 8.5 out of 10 .

and look forward to the next series and hope that their is one because i definitely think it has a future .. anybody else seen it ?

I got my first teaching job!

in case you haven't read me, i am a spanish pimo who is preparing himself to become an english teacher.

well, i just wanted to share with you that i've been called to work in a high school and my first week of work has been amazing!

this job is not permanent, it will end in july, but finally i got rid of many doubts about my adequacy for this job: i love it!

Cleaning out my mom's house

so i'm cleaning out my jw mom's house since she's gone to assisted living.

she had tons of bound volumes of the wt and awake from the 80's and 90's and the cousins decided to recycle all of them since "everything is online now.

they even recycled old nwt bibles!!
