it just suddenly occured to me today.... you know the jws always say about adams sin being passed on to his descendants that its like you have a bread pan with a dent in it and that every loaf of bread will then have a dent?

well that's fine for bread, cos your using the same pan.

but that's not how genetics work?.

Maybe Adams sperm had a dent in it and he passed it along to his children and then their children passed along a dent in their sperm to their children and so on and so on and so on

What about all of the scriptures that state the sins of the father will be poured out on the offspring to the third and fourth generations ?

scientists tell us that mosquitos are the most dangerous creature on earth.

nothing kills more than the mosquito.

Their are 3500 known species of mosquitoes 438,000 deaths from malaria worldwide in 2015 the majority being children under five.

Other diseases they transmit include Zika,and West Nile viruses;dengue,yellow and Ross river fevers,chikungunya ;and various forms of encephalitis .

Animals are not safe from the mozzies either.

Why a Belief or Non Belief in the existence of "A God" or "The God" is Futile {In My Opinion}

because their are so many different god`s worshiped in the world today and none of them have made themselves known to us in this 21st century for all of mankind to see and verify .. all of the gods worshiped today are from hundreds and even thousands of years ago derived from ancient writings and texts in languages that are no longer in use today.. that of course brings up problems of another sort translating an ancient language into its modern day equivalent.. and nobody is in total agreement that such translations are accurate or correct anyway.. and their is no god coming to the rescue of translators to say which is the right interpretation.

they are mute.. i`m not just talking about christianity/ judaism either, the same goes for all non christian religions too.. its a total cop out to say one must have faith to believe in god .

"faith, belief in religious doctrines divine truth without proof" and no verification from any god christian/islam/judaism or otherwise ..

In my OP I`m speaking primarily about belief in the God of the Bible ,Jewish ,Christian ,Islam seeing they all have roots from the same tree.

My OP is not talking about a concept of a "God" outside of those parameters just so their is no misunderstanding.

time to revive this well known, and often used jw illustration!.

"if you are in desperate need of a drink of water, and the glass in front of you is 99% clean, but contains just 1% poison, would you drink it??".

how often we heard this trotted out from the platform.. recently though, i have heard many examples of still-in jws sharing their observations about things that don't seem quite right with the current activities, direction and culture of the organization.

How many poisons are their in a single cigarette yet people smoke them into their 80`s and 90`s and die with no ill effects apart from a lack of breath .

Lets face it one drop of poison in a glass of water is not going to kill you,lets be realistic.

Child sacrifice and Jesus' sacrifice

jeremiah 7:31 says, "they have built the high places of toʹpheth, which is in the valley of the son of hinʹnom, in order to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, something that i had not commanded and that had never even come into my heart.’".

according to this scripture it's unthinkable for jehovah to be pleased with child sacrifices.

but yet he sent his son to be killed as a sacrifice for all?.

Sorry Whynot if I seem to be pedantic but "children" are not mentioned in the scripture you quote and Jesus when he was sacrificed was 30 years old and not a child.

However having said that Jehovah`s Witnesses don`t seem to have any qualms about sacrificing adults and children to Jehovah with their doctrine/policy of no blood transfusions to save a life.

Any reputable Bible scholar knows that the blood ban is a diet restriction of not eating/consuming blood in this way.

And a blood transfusion is not eating blood ,if a person was only given blood and no food he/she would die of starvation .

Correct me if I am wrong but wasn`t King David `s men excused from this law when they fell to eating meat that wasn`t bled according to the law because they were starving ?

In other words their life was in danger so it was O.K. to disobey that law.

And isnt that why Jesus on occasion broke the sabbath law to save a life ? even if it was a sheep ?

How many lives have needlessly been lost in sacrifice , both children and adults because Jehovah`s Witnesses /Governing Body adopted this policy only since the 1940`s .
