To clarify my position if anybody cares is that :

If you want to believe in a GOD that`s your business and I have no right to ridicule you for that .

If I choose not to believe in a GOD that is my business and you can ridicule me or not all you like I don`t care .

Surely all of us can express opinions one way or another without getting into personal attacks on each other .

Just my 2 cents worth.

I hope your not put off with us here HiddenPimo with this thread we really are a great bunch of people with different views and many with a wealth of information ,so please stick around .

Do old time present day active JW`s genuinely believe in overlapping generations ?

for the life of me i can not come to terms with old timers in the "truth" who could swallow this interpretation of scripture about an overlapping generation .. when jesus spoke about "this generation" .

are their any real bible students among younger ones any more ?.

here are 3 bible scriptures that confirm a generation is approximately 40- 50 years long give or take a few years .. 1. matt:1 :17 abraham born 2016-18 bc jesus born 2 bc approx.

I consider myself an atheist but if people on here want to worship a God i`m not going to judge them thats there prerogative.

And apparently their are about 40000 different Christian Gods you can choose from

With the repercussions that JW`s bring on those that fall foul of their expectations and the sanctions and shunning that is a practice in the religion could it be a form of child abuse to subject a minor too in this situation ?

And don`t forget the 12 bottles of scotch that was only picked up on one Sunday it could very well be a regular Sunday shop at the bottle shop. What is it ? 8 GB members ? That`s just over 1 bottle per GB member per week

You might ask whats wrong with that ? No big deal .

If that was genuinely the case then do the sums , $ 800 every week by 52 weeks in a year comes to more than $40, ,600 spent on top shelf Whiskey by the Governing Body ,so now we know where they get their Holy Spirits from .

Haven`t the wise ones on the GB said something like after the event a prophecy is found to be true ?

In other words a prophecy is made and you really have no idea what its talking about till after the event and then they say that`s what it was talking about ?

So if a prophecy is so ambiguous in the first place and can only be interpreted after the event is that really a prophecy ?

,I listen to ABC radio very early mornings and when I get up I watch ABC TV news and I never saw or heard anything about this and I`m wondering what format this was on.? Or how you came across it .?

I have just sent an e-mail / contact to the ABC asking similar questions and also suggesting this should be given a wider audience as it truly is an amazing thing / story ,Shelley has done being a victim of sexual abuse and then turning it all around and becoming a lawyer herself .

It would make a good Australian Story ABC program if done right.

I have just found out that it was a journalist for on line ABC Brisbane program Kate McKenna that broke this story .

How about a few of us contact the ABC Australia requesting they promote or expand this article on national TV and radio as it is such a good success story worthy of a greater distribution .

I myself have already done so .
