The brother at the door

I think many of us make the same mistake over and over again . As an example : When you state a fact about where JW`s are wrong we allow ourselves to be sidetracked where the JW wants to deflect the question and go off into a different subject and we get caught up in it thinking we have to answer every question .
No, they have to answer the question we put to them in the first place and don`t let up until you get a satisfying answer from them .
And keep pushing this until you do get a satisfying answer with that same question.
Don`t be sidetracked or blindsided with them trying to deflect your questions or query.

Observed at the Memorial
by john.prestor inso i went to the memorial the other night, there's a kingdom hall on the bus route back from a local college where i was doing some research and admiring the architecture.
i'm in my street clothes, i look nice but i stood out like a sore thumb.
i went in as it started and got a seat in the back.

New Book: Pure Worship of Jehovah—Restored At Last!
by Afterburn init is a new book, now available on their website in pdf, and it is basically an update to survival—into a new earth!
(1984), the book that convinced me to get baptized at age 12.. i'm not going to review the entire book here.. because matthew 28:18-20 specifies baptizing as part of the great commission, and because hebrews 6:1-2 lists the teaching on baptisms as among the primary doctrine about the christ, i intend to focus on the portion of the new publication that deals with baptism.. in chapter 16, on pages 178 and 179, paragraph 17 states:.
17 to survive the coming destruction, individuals need to prove their faith now.

He says It sounds like you don't have any respect for the organization.
Why would you or anybody else for that matter .
And then he said I will leave you to your opinion without even trying to reason with you or give an explanation of some sort however futile .
And he has been in the organization for thirty years ?
It just goes to show you how far they have sunk as "witnesses"

I love it That JW`s Worship A God Named by The Catholics ,And Follow The Bible Of the protestants .
by smiddy3 inthe tetagrammaton 4 hebrew letters representing gods name in the hebrew scriptures as jhvh or more likely yhwh .. the name jehovah was unheard of before the 13th century simply because no one beforehand had added vowels to those four hebrew consonants representing gods name .. and then comes along a spanish catholic monk of the 13th century that adds vowels to those 4 hebrew consonants and he comes up with the name jehovah.. a name that the catholic church has used in and on churches since the 13th century throughout europe and elsewhere in the world.. and lo and behold the g.b.of jehovah`s witnesses in their wisdom stated in the first edition of the "aid to bible understanding" that they chose the name jehovah as the correct pronunciation of gods name because it was the most popular name in use in the world ?
logically by christendom `s religions ,who else ?.
then their is the bible cannon that all of the major christian religions have different books that they feel should make up the bible.. protestant religions .

The Tetagrammaton 4 hebrew letters representing Gods name in the Hebrew scriptures as JHVH or more likely YHWH .
The name Jehovah was unheard of before the 13th Century simply because no one beforehand had added vowels to those four Hebrew consonants representing Gods name .
And then comes along a Spanish Catholic Monk of the 13th Century that adds vowels to those 4 Hebrew consonants and he comes up with the name Jehovah.
A name that the Catholic Church has used in and on Churches since the 13th Century throughout Europe and elsewhere in the world.
And lo and behold the G.B.of Jehovah`s Witnesses in their wisdom stated in the first edition of the "Aid To Bible Understanding" that they chose the name Jehovah as the correct pronunciation of Gods name because it was the most popular name in use in the world ?
By whom might I ask ?
Logically by Christendom `s religions ,who else ?
Then their is the Bible Cannon that all of the major christian religions have different books that they feel should make up the Bible.
Protestant religions
Roman Catholic
Eastern Orthodox
Russian Orthodox
Greek Orthodox
They could be just some of the religions that have different books making up the Bible .
However Jehovah`s witnesses have clung to the traditional Protestant view of what books should make up the Bible ignoring the fact that some books of the bible themselves quote passages from other books that Christendom never included in the Bible cannon.
The book of Enoch
The book of Jubilees
The testament of Jonah
The book of Jasher
First and second Maccabees
Just to mention a few .
Not to mention the Books incuded in the Bibles mentioned previously ,that are not contained in the NWT Bibles.

Enjoyed the Memorial
by ScottyRex inprobably not a popular opinion on here....and haven't been actively attending meetings since 1988....(i know i know a submarine attender) however thoroughly enjoyed attending this evening...was good to see lots of people i remember whilst growing up in this faith, they were genuine and the whole atmosphere was one of love.
sure if i suddenly wanted to become active again and didn't change my lifestyle they would drop me like a bomb.....however i haven't and won't and they didn't and don't.
this works for me.. i cannot demonize the witnesses on what i have seen tonight.

Who Really Was Satan?
by ZindagiNaMilegiDobaara indont you think that satan was a pomo ?
when you read in the genesis account : "at this the serpent said to the woman: 'you certainly will not die.
5 for god knows that in the very day you eat from it, your eyes will be opened and you will be like god, knowing good and bad.'".

Verse 22: "Jehovah God then said: 'Here the man has become like one of us in knowing good and bad.
So their are more than one God ,he / she obviously had peers.
