NWT Being the Most Accurate
by VIII ini was going through my old files and came upon an email between some family that i was privy to.
it is about the nwt bible and alex trebek asking what is the most accurate bible, etc.
i am copying and pasting this (for nathan natas...) so he will have so fun data to carry with him with that jw bible as he goes door-to-door.

JW's & eBay
by The Fall Guy ini just came across a pair of jw's on ebay who are flogging off nearly 2000 "religious" items.. is it just me, or are jw's hypocrites when they make cash by selling old light publications which now contain "wrong teachings," or much worse, by selling books etc.
which were created by members of apostate christendom and contain teachings which contradict their self-appointed "faithful slave?
is there a bible example/principle here?.

Aren`t they getting enough with all of there sales of KH`s that have been built with volunteer labour and building materials given free of charge as a contribution ?
Not to mention their sale of prime real estate in Brooklyn that has amassed millions of dollars to the point it has exceeded over i billion Dollars .?
And they still ask Sophia for her ice cream money .

Notice there is no reference to the preaching work here or of bible studies or any humanitarian work ,only that you are giving your hard earned money to Jehovah`s Witnesses .

They have no shame and have deliberately passed up many, many, many opportunities to praise Jesus in their magazines, instead they demoted him to an errand boy for Jehovah and prominently feature the Governing Popes.
Despite what my NWT of the Bible revised 1984 edition says where it uses the name Jehovah in the New testament ( CGS) the "Kingdom Interlinear Of The Christian Greek Scriptures" published by the WTB&TS a word for word translation of Greek into English does not contain the Tetragrammaton of the four Hebrew letters denoting Gods name nor any Greek equivalent four letters denote his name.....So the name Jehovah does not belong in the Christian Greek Scriptures
And most of all note this : Nowhere in the Christian Greek Scriptures ( NT ) are Christians admonished to be witnesses of Jehovah ,nowhere. not one scripture.
However their are about 20 scriptures that admonish Christians to bear witness about Jesus Christ in the New Testament.
Phillipians 2: 9-11 Christians should be witnessing about Jesus Christ to the glory of the father not Jehovah ,which by the way WT admitted was not the correct pronunciation of Gods name anyway.
No such problem exists with the name of Jesus.

When did this chaperoning thing start, I never had to do that, I left for good in 1983.
It might have to do with where you live and how the Elders in your congregation viewed such a thing .
It certainly was a big thing in my neck of the woods with my two boys ,one in particular because he was dating a woman who had given birth years earlier in a failed marriage ,and they even though they were a mature couple had to have a chaperone all the time .
Neither of us now know how we put up with such bullshit crap .And I`m talking about the 70`s-80`s time period.
So when it actually began that you had to be chaperoned I don`t really know.
My GF and I when we were first going together and just started associating with the religion never had to have a chaperone .
So it is a good question ?
