  let's hear the weirdest comment or suppossed logical thought you've ever heard a witness say.. i'll start: out in service once a sis and her son were in the same car group as i was.

  he was having a nose bleed and told his mom that the blood was running down the back of his throat.

  his mother said " well don't swallow it yo uknow how jehovah feels about blood don't you!".

  When I was a faithful dub, my mother, (who never was one) and I were arguing about Christmas. I told her that Jesus never celebrated Christmas. She said "Of course not! He was a jew"

  My car just got stolen !

  woke up this morning to check on my car... and it was gone.

  someone has taken my geo tracker convertable 4x4.. damn now what?

  i filed a police report and have to call my agent tomorrow.. .

  A few years ago my husband's car was stolen. It was recovered 3 days later and the two 14 year olds who stole it were caught. A few weeks ago we bought a new car for my husband and planned to sell his old one over the weekend. I asked him what if someone steals it out of the driveway now (the new one was in the garage so the old one got demoted and parked outside). Sure enough, the next morning the old one was gone. Same car stolen twice. Saves us the trouble of selling it. Car theft if Arizona is just unbelievable. I am glad we are getting out of here.

  "I prayed for you"

  if you aren't a "believer", does it bother you when someone says "i'll pray for you" or "i prayed for you"?.

  one of my colleagues is an incredibly kind and sweet person, and i know she says it because she believes she's doing something good on my behalf.

  i always say "thank you for thinking of me", because i know that's the spirit she's intending to convey and that she cares about the situation i'm in vis-a-vis my jw relatives, but she knows i no longer believe in god (at least not in the sense that she does) - i wonder does she think that a few prayers are going to change my mind?

  I feel that if there is a god, He is going to choose to do whatever for me if He feels I deserve it, not because someone else chooses to recite a bunch of words on my behalf. If I am worthless and undeserving, he is not going to intervene just because someone asks Him too.

  I never had a prayer answered in the 30+ years I was in the cult and I did some intense praying. I am not sure what I believe regarding the existance of "God", but I do know that the scripture where Jesus supposedly says that whatever we ask for will be given to us is bunk.

  I remember my niece having her entire prayer circle praying for my family. That did not work either.

  It must not have done much for her either because she ended up committed to a mental hospital.

  I would be tempted to tell them to forget the prayers and buy a lottery ticket for me instead. At least then I'd have a small chance of it working.

  i hope someone can help me with this one............................ i finally got the money together to take a holiday to see my sister out west.

  i also booked this flight to have my son come along with me as he has never flown before...he was soo excited and so was i.we planned a 8 day trip for the march break and planned on finally seeing the mountains and checking out the biggest mall in the world..... we booked our flights and used my debit card to purchase the tickets and 10 hours later, the company we booked the tickets with ( jetsgo) went bankrupt!!!!!!.

  Just a side note-you talked to the bank and "they" said they could do nothing about it. It has been my experience that a lot of stupid people (but now all) work at banks. When you do not get a good answer, ask to talk to someone else, like the manager. Although last time the manager was stupid too. I had to go to a different branch to find someone with a brain. Do not always assume that the answer you get is the right one. Just keep that in mind for next time. There always is a next time.

  I remember the bitter Wisconsin winters. The brothers had their legs covered but the sisters were to suffer in panty hose. I remember an elderly sister wearing long johns under her panty hose. I remember thinking that if the men had to wear the panty hose in such bitter cold for just one day, that rule would change. I wondered what the "worldly" people thought when they saw the old lady with long johns under her panty hose. They had to think the dubs were lunatics.

  The number one thing that is forbidden for dubs is common sense.

  I will never belong to organized religion again. I beleive the Bible is a fairy tail. I do believe there is some sort of intelligent energy out there and I do believe Jesus is real, just not the stuff the Bible says about him. If your study energy healing, it appears Jesus was a master manipulator of energy. Miracles. Anyone can do it, some better than others.
