most of our local doctors, whom we go to with sore throats, aching backs, etc., are friendly chaps and ladies but even these are indoctrinated, in the main, into accepting that hospital doctors/researchers know best.
since i became seriously ill i've done a collosal amount of research and i am afraid i'm left with, at the very least, immense suspicion of the recommendations of the majority of medical doctors.
recently, we have been notified by our gp's surgery that our younger son requires immunisation.
My grandson had one vaccination as a baby and ended up with Autism syndrome. He had no more shots and either have his younger siblings. Interesting thing was, when my daughter-in-law asked the doctor if he has his own children vaccinated, he admitted he does not because of the terrible side affects.
When it comes to doctors and vets, I find it best to be a very well informed patient.

Last year my three year old grandson started talking about Dewey, his playmate that no one else could see. We thought it was just his imagination. In the middle of the night my son got up to get a drink and lo and behold, there stood Dewey right outside the glass patio door looking at him. He look exactly like my little grandson said he did. As they stood there staring at each other, Dewey faded away. Dewey does not come around much anymore because the new neighbors in the back have a dog and Dewey likes dogs so he stays there a lot now. I asked my grandson if Dewey comes along to my house, because he seemed to go with the family a lot. He said no, Dewey does not like me

I homeschooled my son after 8th grade. I did it because he seemed to suffer from a lot of stress in school and was always sick. Once I got him out of that enviornment his health improved dramamtically. He went on to become a computer engineer and is a very social person. He also escaped from the borg. He has a wonderful wife who left the borg with him and three great kids. Life is wonderful for him. I have no regrets about homeschooling him. I saw others succeed also, but I know of some real disasters as well. It is true that some people have no business trying to teach anyone anything. I know of a couple of kids who were successful because of their own motivation, despite their parents being idiots.

New Light. If it were from Jehovah, it would have been right in the first place and would not need updating. No new light in the old testament. So what is current light now is old light next year. Why would Jehovah give them the wrong understanding to start with?

i have felt this sense of total panic over me since my grandmother's passing earlier this week, because i don't know where she is or what is happening to her, if anything.
part of me clings to the jw indoctrination that she is just asleep, but i don't believe in the resurrection to life on earth anymore so that leaves me cold and empty.

I didn't mean that everything Sylvia says cannot be believed. She does quite well, it just seems that in recent years she is slipping from time to time. The Bin Laden thing was a big one. She said he is dead. I do buy many of her books. She told in a couple of her books about how she came to know her spirit guide. Two completely different stories. She is in her 70s. It would be expected that she might be slipping.

I have heard many stories of animals, especially cats, doing what you said. I have also heard about live cats reacting to the spirit cat.
Sylvia has said that animals do not recycle. She also maintained for 40 years that angels did not have wings. Now she has changed her mind.
So what I am saying is that it is good to see what different ones say and then go with what feels right to you. I watch Syvia whenever I get the chance because I am always open to learning. But no one is always right. Including me.

My condolences. It is harder to lose someone just when you are going through this stuff about what to believe. The book that helped me the most was "Messages From The Masters" by Brian Weiss M.D. Read about it on Amazon but buy it from Walmart.com. A lot cheaper there. If you are looking for answers and not opinions, you will like it.
As for Syliva Browne, she is interesting to watch, but I would not bet the rent on what she says. Last January, on Montel, she said the Iraq war would be over by June. Just a couple of weeks ago she said that Osama Bin Laden is dead. I have read contradictions between her books also. Maybe she just needs to retire.
