  How many 'real" friends did you ever really have in ther "truth'

  sure we got to know a lot of people, we knew a lot more people then the average person, but how many real friends did we ever have?

  a friend that we could trust, that we could confine in.

  i can say i had just one, bro x and even then i still had to be careful, bro x is an elder now and he tells me that im the only real friend hes ever had, he cant freely talk to anyone.

  my doctor called me today and told me i have a very aggressive case of colon cancer.

  i go back on monday for more tests and maybe surgery and chemo i don't know.

  my partner is a total mess over this and he is all i have.

  Have you ever had acupuncture? What else can I try for high blood pressure?

  i had a bit of a shock last month when, in a routine check-up, my doc told me i had high blood pressure.. i can't remember what the reading was the first time but the next few days it was averaging 150/100.

  not wanting to go on drugs for the rest of my life i decided to look at alternatives.

  there are some chinese clinics in the town where i live so i tried one of those.. they recommended a course of herbal medicine and acupuncture.

  Magnesium/potassium are very important and have a big impact on blood pressure. Also garlic capsules help a lot.And exercise.

  Elders son is GAY!!!

  just looked up my old high school in classmates.com, i saw this dude who was a couple years older than me, didn't really know him but i knew his brother (who left the org the same time i did), his dad kicked him out of the house and he lived in his car, they are sons of one of the elders (assholes) who df'd my dad.

  the good son was a good little jw that did everything a jw father (elder) would want his son to do, on his bio on classmates.com he says that he is gay, ha ha ha ha.

  I knew two elders who were gay. Sadly, they both waited until they had a wife and three kids before deciding to come out. The one was way back when Aids was first coming to light and he died from it. The other left his wife and kids for his boss.

  sometimes i think of all the pain i caused my parents when i left their home to pursue my bible studies.

  it happend right around the holidays and my father's birthday, and seemed to be such a slap in the face to him.

  he almost didn't come to my wedding, to walk me down the aisle, since i would not attend family functions around holidays and birthdays (he did walk me down the aisle; after i made some appearances but made it clear i was not celebrating).. now that i am out, i am so glad i have been able to repair my relationships with my parents and siblings.

  You are indeed lucky! I was baptized the beginning of June, 1972, so of course I ignored Father's Day that month. Little did I know that it was the last Father's Day for my father. He died the following January. I still feel the guilt.

  Yes, they took away his OWN kid because he is not allowed contact with ANY children, not even his own, even though his "victim" was 17.

  They seemed to have forgotten about common sense when they wrote these laws. Also, it matters what the judge feels on these things.

  And yet many "real" criminals only get a slap on the wrist. Go figure....

  A young man of 20 has sex with his willing 17 year old girl friend. Her parents find out and press charges. Now he is a sex offender. Five years later he marries and they buy a home and have a baby girl. He is a good husband and father. Someone in the neighborhood does a search for sex offenders and his name comes up. This person starts watching and sees this toddler and reports him. Now the baby has to live with the grandparents and the wife has to divide her time between her parents home with the baby and her own home with her husband. This will go on until the child is 18.They dare not have more children. Oh, and he is not allowed to visit his child.

  Is this sort of thing really what they had in mind when they wrote sex offender laws? This family lives across the street from my son and his family. It is sad to think his entire life is ruined. I would not be surprised if the marriage does not last because of this kind of stress.

  I knew a man who molested friends of his 12 year old daughter.When he got out of jail, he was not allowed to move back home because of the 12 year old. That made sense.He had a sexual interest in 12 year old girls. But this man had no interest in young girls or small children.

  when i got off for lunch today i decided to go to the walmart deli and get something to eat.

  it is a huge store, groceries, a bakery, mc donalds, a bank , eye center, beauty shop, a great deli, and a huge garden center.

  i had taken back a 80 gig hard drive dvd recorder ( i couldn't figure out how to hook up <smile> and had received 238.00. i picked up a couple of things in the store then went to the deli.

  Welcome! and congrats. I had the exact same thing happen. I lived six miles away and got all the way home before I missed my purse and when I got back to the store, there it was in the cart with the two movies I had rented. It never occurred to me to bring Jehovah into the event because I was too busy cussing myself out for my stupidity. It was the second time I had done that. I am a slow learner........about the purse and Jehovah. But ten years later, here I am still have my purse............
