It really doesn't matter how he got it does it? That's not the point. As usual, heretics miss the clear and plain point of any scripture they don't like. Jesus has all power and authority in heaven and earth, that's what scripture says.
Sure, it matters how he got that power/authority, that is the whole point. The Scripture says it was given to him. So, the question is who gave it to him? Matt 28:18;1 Corinthians 15:24-28
Everyone there understood Jesus was claiming to be God here.
They claimed he was claiming that, and he corrected them.
[ 33 The Jews answered him: âWe are stoning you, not for a fine work, but for blasphemy; for you, although being a man, make yourself a god.â 34 Jesus answered them: âIs it not written in your Law, âI said: âYou are godsââ? 35 If he called âgodsâ those against whom the word of God cameâand yet the scripture cannot be nullifiedâ 36 do you say to me whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, âYou blaspheme,â because I said, âI am Godâs Sonâ?
My Father and I are one.â
[ 30 I and the Father are one.â]
[11 âI am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, watch over them on account of your own name, which you have given me, so that they may be one just as we are one.]
By the way, do you have a problem allowing an angel into your being? In other words, are you willing to allow an angel to posess you?
It is God's spirit that Jesus has and that we are to have, so to have Jesus' spirit, is to have God's spirit.
[ 16 After being baptized, Jesus immediately came up from the water; and look! the heavens were opened up, and he saw Godâs spirit descending like a dove and coming upon him. 17 Look! Also, a voice from the heavens said: âThis is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved.â]
[ 8 So those who are in harmony with the flesh cannot please God9 However, you are in harmony, not with the flesh, but with the spirit, if Godâs spirit truly dwells in you. But if anyone does not have Christâs spirit, this person does not belong to him. 11 If, now, the spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, the one who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also make your mortal bodies alive through his spirit that resides in you.]
And YES Jesus is an angel.
[ 16 because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangelâs voice and with Godâs trumpet, and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first. 17 Afterward we the living who are surviving will, together with them, be caught away in clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and thus we will always be with the Lord.]
[29 âImmediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in grief, and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he will send out his angels with a great trumpet sound, and they will gather his chosen ones together from the four winds, from one extremity of the heavens to their other extremity.]
[ 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised up incorruptible, and we shall be changed.]
