Last days/end of the age has to do with the 1,335 days. Once WW3 begins it will go on for a limited amount of time to be the pretext to put the UN in power. Once UN/8th king is put in power, the 1,335/last days begin.

The counting does not start from 'setting up' as in creating/forming the UN, it starts from the 'putting in place' the UN.
The UN/KOTN is 'put in place' sometime during WW3 when it is given authority. At that point it becomes the 8th king. The UN could not be the 8th king upon it being started. It was a newborn in 1945.
[ 31 And arms will stand up, proceeding from him; and they will profane the sanctuary, the fortress, and remove the constant feature.“ And they will put in place (5414.) the disgusting thing (KOTN) that causes desolation.32 “And those who act wickedly against the covenant, he will lead into apostasy by means of smooth words. It is not 'inconsistent', it is very 'consistent' in that both of those teachings are false. False teachings/lies are what the WTS/GB are good at being 'consistent' about.
It may prove to be true that the UN is the 'disgusting thing' (KOTN/8th king), but it was not so upon being set up in 1945. The 8th king comes about at some point during WW3.

It could mean just what is says: God was manifest in the flesh.
It shows here the it was the 'son of God' who was manifest is the flesh.
[ 8 The one who practices sin originates with the Devil, because the Devil has been sinning from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was made manifest, to break up the works of the Devil.]

'God' there is referring to Jehovah. 'Son' there is referring to Jesus. Jesus (the word) is the one who was made manifest in the flesh.
Even if 1 Timothy 3:16 said "god' and not 'he', that would not mean that 'god' there is referring to Jehovah God. 1 John 3:8 and John 1:14 makes clear that it is Jesus (the word) the 'son of God' is who was made manifest in the flesh.
The reason it could have said 'god' even though referring to Jesus is because Jesus is also said to be a 'god'. Again though, that does not make him Jehovah God, just like Satan is said to be a 'god' and yet you do not claim he is Jehovah God.
