They were Job's children, YES, but they were not children, they were adults.
It was not to settle a wager; it served as a test/example.
Had the first 10 not died when/how they did, they would still have died at some point. Job and his wife and their 10 children that they had after the first 10, are now all as dead as the 10 that died first.
What I reflect on is the fact that none of them are really dead as long as they are in the memory of the God I worship. Mark 12:27;Matthew 10:28

Surely Job felt much better that he had 20 new offspring. WTF about the 10 that died. No Big Deal! I have 20 more to feed!
Nope!
Even if he were to have to feed them, the fact that all his livestock/wealth doubled would mean he was in a great position to feed an addition 10.
But that is not the case.
He didn't have another 20 children in addition to the 10 that died. Unlike his livestock that doubled, the number of children he had again was also 10. Job will have all 20 of his children again when he and they are resurrected.

Last days/end of the age has to do with the 1,335 days. Once WW3 begins it will go on for a limited amount of time to be the pretext to put the UN in power. Once UN/8th king is put in power, the 1,335/last days begin.

by xaminewt inso, the organization says the “disgusting thing that causes desolation” in daniel 11:31 is the united nations being set up in 1945, but in daniel 12:11 when they interpret the 1,290 days they say it’s the league of nations in 1919. please could someone play devils advocate and tell why this could be anything but inconsistent?

The counting does not start from 'setting up' as in creating/forming the UN, it starts from the 'putting in place' the UN.
The UN/KOTN is 'put in place' sometime during WW3 when it is given authority. At that point it becomes the 8th king. The UN could not be the 8th king upon it being started. It was a newborn in 1945.
[ 31 And arms will stand up, proceeding from him; and they will profane the sanctuary, the fortress, and remove the constant feature.“ And they will put in place (5414.) the disgusting thing (KOTN) that causes desolation.32 “And those who act wickedly against the covenant, he will lead into apostasy by means of smooth words. But the people who know their God will prevail and act effectively. 33 And those having insight among the people will impart understanding to the many.
