But yes, also as Balaam stated, JW believes that what is reflected is God's invisible aspects like love, peace , patience etc...

What is the WTS teaching of the scripture “MADE IN THE IMAGE AND LIKENESS OF GOD “
by TTWSYF ini’m wondering what jws are taught or generally think the scriptures mean when they describe humanity has made in the image and likeness of god?
if there is a teaching on that.

Personally, is it reasonable to believe the creator of the vast universe of BILLIONS of Gallaxies, has the time or intrest to spend all day WATCHING YOU individually? Does God have the spare time to Care about who you love? Does God Want to destroy you for not visiting him, and worshipping him/her the exact right way EVERY week?
Balaam, only if you believe in him.

Vice President Kamala Harris…your thoughts??

Still nothing from Obama endorsing Kamala.
The only way Biden could halfway redeem himself is if he went off script at his press conference tonight and started yelling that he's been robbed.

The coup on Biden, in which Kamala was front and center, and coordinated assassination attempt on Trump really is a depressing sign of things to come. What will stop Democrat bosses from rigging it all the way up to November and beyond?
Imagine a political party installing an absolute failure as their presidential nominee and actually getting her 'elected'. It's a slap to the face to end all slaps to the face...and there's a seemingly very good chance it will happen.

Who told the first lie?
by nicolaou inthis is a continuation of the discussion which sprang from an unrelated topic.. so according to genesis, who told the first lie?
god told eve that if she ate from the tree of knowledge she would die that very same day.
in response to that statement the devil told her she would not die.. eve ate from the tree and did not die.

Pete- Just as the story is a mythical origin story for why women struggle in childbirth while other animals generally don't and why snakes have no legs, the story is a folk-tale-style treatise on human nature.
Rather than being a commentary opposing freewill it is actually celebrating the maturation to godlikeness of humans.
As we touched on earlier Pete, this incident in Genesis speaks to the parts of ourselves that God (if you are a believer) considers most important in us. The rabbi and many other very intelligent people on here that are non believers can still see how it moves the human mind, heart and spirit to help explain that very human nature.

Tonus- We ended up with one where suffering has been a constant state for thousands of years, and will be a constant state forever for a great many people. I think the former is the better option. If it isn't, then I would be very worried about the nature of the person who runs this universe, that he would see that second outcome as acceptable, especially since it required two people to do what he expressly asked them not to do.
All of these are signs that we are not the same as God. That the decision is, ultimately, not up to us.

Tonus - If we have to be changed this significantly in order to spend eternity with god, it would have been far more sensible to skip the part where things go wrong and incredible suffering results for a few thousand years. If humanity needed repairs, better to have gotten them done right at the start.
Yes, from a human perspective it seems it would have been much better. The key is, being precisely that we are only human, will we accept that we couldn't decide the time and sequence of events, or not.

Only theists claim that life arises from ‘scattered dust.
Hehe...theists claim life comes from God, not dust....
.... it's atheists that claim life sprung spontaneously from dust...no help from God needed...

Jeffro -There’s no evidence for a deity and your prattle about a ‘truer self’ is esoteric drivel that doesn’t even relate to your first attempt at a definition.
If spirit animates the inanimate elements, then it follows that spirit is your truer self. Otherwise, scattered dust stays scattered dust.
So it relates as you can see...I hope.
