Problem is, the terms of the President and Vice President end at noon on the 20th of January, election or not.
The next person in line would be Nancy Pelosi and she would serve until a proper election was held.
elections have been held per the us constitution during many difficult times; us civil war, ww i, ww ii, whatever.
i just put on the pro-trump fox news and even they are saying ... oooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.. this is really scary.
are we headed towards a dictatorship?

look at the new york post online today and watch the videos of mayhem and destruction to the city with fires all over manhattan.
the police vehicles are being destroyed and torched and the rioting just goes on and on.. i regularly went to nyc sometimes once a month for years.
now, who on earth would want to go to this hellhole??.
The NYC police department cost taxpayers in excess of 68 million dollars in misconduct lawsuits in 2019 alone, bringing the total to over 400 million for the 2014 - 2019 period.
Wrongful shootings, beating deaths, choke hold deaths, sodomy of suspects with a broom handle, stun gun coercion, you name it, they are one of the most corrupt departments in the country. -The only one I'm aware of where the officers themselves rioted (!)
I understand that it's tempting to say that much more force is necessary, but the American people as a group have not historically responded well to that. -Not when they feel they have a legitimate complaint.
the sopranos was my number one show.
to me it was the best series ever.
for a good laugh, i still enjoy the beverly hillbillies reruns.

i have no love loss for the gb or religion and this is not an apologist attempt.
in fact i hate the religion and the gb.
but i watch night after night young kids who's minds have been corrupted by the propaganda and dogma that modern college's are teaching them.
Universities are actually conglomerations of various schools and colleges. Most of the larger ones have multiple campuses that are often miles apart, so it's something of a misnomer to speak of "college" in generalities.
Your experience will vary drastically depending upon your field of study and I can assure you that there are plenty of conservative students attending.
If social sciences are not your cup of tea, go to a school of engineering instead.
i have a couple of thoughts on the blood and shunning doctrines, both of which have been covered well before.
here, and on j.w facts.com and elsewhere.. but i would like to point out the following, the only scriptures they can use in reality for their blood doctrine are the verses from acts chapter 15. o.t verse are really out of the question, and dishonest to use on their part, as they do not follow most of the injunctions in there!.
the context of acts 15 is a council of the apostles and others in the jerusalem congregation, to decide what they should ask of gentile christians in the way of behaviours and practices etc, as jewish christians were demanding they comply with the mosaic law, or were, at the very least offended if they did not.
From King Saul to Uzzah, the Bible is full of examples of people who thought they could break one of God's commands based on what they had surmised or speculated another one might mean.
This is the position Jehovah's Witnesses find themselves in vis-à-vis blood.
Transfusion does not fall under the umbrella of any Biblical command and the JW claim that it does is speculative at its core.
Like King Saul and Uzzah, they have set aside plain and simple, black and white, clear and unambiguous commands based on what they have speculated that God might want. (But never actually said)
In the case of the JW's these are God's commands regarding the sanctity of life and the severe penalty associated with intentionally or unintentionally depriving another human being of it.

When they get to the matter of the use of Blood,
With respect, my friend, you are giving them too much latitude.
At no point does the Bible speak of the "Use" of blood.
Never. Not even once.
Every single command is situtionally specific.
it is a challenge next sunday for them .
due to starting the convention programme the wt study will be a 30 minute run through ,and deals with this prophecy ... i doubt the younger ones are familiar with it at all bur oldies could debate it at length .we on the look out for the king of the north to enter "the land of decoration" (more to follow, maybe next week).
this article makes a grand claim in par 2.
The British Government turned towards Europe in recent decades and certainly does not consider itself a junior party in a U S A led world power.
The average American male (Including apparently WT writers) draws his knowledge of world history from WWII movies.
These are the same ignorant people who came up with this jewel here:
"West Germany became an ally of the king of the south, and East Germany aligned itself with another powerful entity—the Communist bloc of nations headed by the Soviet Union." (Pay Attention to Daniel's Prophecy p 270)
lately in the news you see more karens and kens emerging.. ”i’m calling the police.
i see a black man looking at me!”.
”i want to speak to your manager right away!!
Karens (And Kens too) were a "thing" long before the current state of unrest. (Ask anybody in retail)
there is a surge going on of people buying guns, especially first time buyers.
with talk of police defunding and rioting in the neighborhoods, some people want to protect themselves.. do you support owning and using a gun if needed?.
here in the UK the vast majority of people have no wish--or the means--to blow holes in each other.
The U.S. and the U.K. are an interesting comparison in extremes
We take the right of self protection to one extreme
You take it to the other
It's true that your gun violence is infinitesimal compared to ours and for that you can be proud
It's also equally true that a 50kg woman in the U.K. cannot even carry a pinky-size pepper spray aerosol on her key chain and other than crying out for help has no realistic defense against a 115kg male assailant.
You have taken the right of self protection away from those who need it the most and this is reflected in your crime stats even after they have been adjusted for our respective methods or reporting sexual assault...
