  Yes. My state went that route and it's not that big a deal.

  You ballot is printed for you and you alone. It is tied to your Photo ID by control number

  Here's how it works

  Photo ID is required to vote in person. The 3d barcode is scanned and a living, breathing person compares the picture to your face. Your ballot is then printed

  Absentee ballots must be requested in writing and your Photo ID number is required. Photo ID is required a second time when you drop the ballot off. If you chose to mail in the ballot, your signature is hand checked with the signature on your Voter ID

  Rush Limbaugh Is Dead

  the conservative icon rush limbaugh passed away today.

  he had lung cancer and finally succumbed to the disease.

  what is sad and disgusting is how some people are happy and thrilled that he is gone.

  It was a two week segment he did in 1990 where he would read off names of people who had died while songs like Looking For Love In All The Wrong Places played in the background.

  He apologized for it and said it was the single most regrettable thing he'd ever done. (Or something like that)

  It would be nice to be able to take back our mistakes, but none of us can. (Which is why it's better not to make them at all)

  the conservative icon rush limbaugh passed away today.

  I listened to him faithfully, back when he was funny and am truly sorry that he has past. Seventy is not exactly young, but it's not old anymore either.

  the wt society teaches that jesus returned to begin his "invisible presence" in 1914 directing his attention toward the earth as ruling king.

  during a recent conversation i had with someone, a question came up that i really don't know the answer to.

  did jw's still drink during prohibition in the us during the 1920's until it's repeal in 1933?

  was alcoholic beverages considered forbidden and possibly subject to disfellowshipping?.

  Sacramental wine was legal. That might not seem like a big demand until you stop and consider that the Catholic Church needed it for communion

  i came across this older wt which i assume c t russell wrote the article.

  unlike modern practitioners of numerology who calculate a value for each letter of the alphabet, russell simply adds up the number of letters in each word to arrive at [horror of horrors] 666.. and he lists there on the page each one of the organisations that must accordingly be part of the great harlot with 18 letters [in english] in their titles, because 18 is clearly 6+6+6 or 666!

  strangely he hasn't stopped to think about another possibility for an 18 letter title.

  A 21st century observer laughing at the ignorance and naivete of a 19th century writer doesn't mean a whole lot though.

  It's like us laughing at H.G. Wells notions of how a technically advanced alien race would fight a war

  Russell's writings are wacky by today's standards, but it is one pebble in a riverbed of wackiness

  Trump is a survivor. I don't think this impeachment trial is the worst of his problems, but I think he'll pull through.

  Trump's political leaning is actually National Populist. It should not be confused with traditional Conservatism, just as disagreeing with it should not be confused with hating the man.

  Phizzy,

  Section 29 of the Volstead Act (the legal arm of Prohibition) allowed wine and cider (but not beer) to be made at home. Home wine making went through the roof.

  The warning labels you're thinking of were there because the grape juice was being sold commercially.

  Vineyards circumvented any possible illegality by selling "Wine bricks" which were boxes of compacted, dried grapes
