Bacradi Rum and Coke or a Crown Royal and Coke is very tasty. A shot or two of Jagermeister will get you started off nicely.
A nice cold Hefeweisen is one of my fav beers, but I like many different kinds.

ok, just kidding.
i like you dude and i'm not trying to start a fight or make enemies here.
but i do have to bring this up.
Mullets were cool in the '80's, I had one. I REALLY wanted the curlies in the back but my blond hair is too straight.
Here is the problem now: Most of the only people who are wearing mullets are REDNECKS and WHITE TRASH, and even the rednecks have started to wise up.
BTW 1984 called and wants its mullet back.
i was raised in a larger city congregation.
there were many black and white families and there were other nationalities in the area.for the most part, i do not recall seeing obvious prejudice manifest in the congregation.
have you seen or experienced prejudice from congregation members?
Once thing I can say that I appreciate about my rearing was that I was not taught racial predjudice. The JW's do not teach racial predjudice but I'm sure it manifests itself regardless depending upon where you live. My best friend in the congregation was black and we were practically inseparable when we were younger. Not being raised as a bigot has allowed me to marry my beautiful wife who is black.
I live in Utah (which is not the whitest state contrary to popular opinion) where there is not the racial tension you might find in other parts of the U.S. Also I was born in 1971 so I did not have any experience with segregation. The 1952 WT quoted previously is one those that JW's just try to forget about, and many now would not even know of the existance of that article (or consider it old light).
.
ii think this board is a perfekt place to speak about this very bigg problem.. i grow upp in a jw family in 1960 when flower power was a bigg thing, many of these who try canabis, marijuana, ended upp dead, and for mee it was not even in my wildest fantsy to tke this things.. today this is a very bigg problem , even among jw i think, it is not easy to find your children use this stuff, and also defending it and try to tell that it is much more dangerus widh two ore three drinks on satterday evning.. i have two boys who almost worshipp this drugg canabis , and say it open your mind, helping you to see things as they realy are.. perhaps some here have expiriens how you as a parent must akt, i have never hitt my children, i heve never force them to bee a jw, ofcourse this is a very bigg problem , for mee, and i think fore many who have been involvd.
inn sweden it is a crime to use this or to sell it, i now in some other countrys it is not forbidden, so if some one want to give some addvice, thank you.
If you tell kids that pot is the devil and if you smoke it that bad things certainly will happen to you, when they try it they will know that you don't know what you are talking about.
i was wondering what it is like to experience childhood in the org.
i am an aspiring writer ad the org has always interested me...not in the sense that i'd like to join.
please send me some replies.
It didn't seem so bad untill you got older. I mean how lucky can you get? Being born into the true church and hence having your life saved at armageddon was surely a good thing. You could play with worldly kids at school, but not after, because after school they are much worse than during. The holiday thing never bothered me, but I REALLY wanted to play sports. I would play as much sport as I could with the kids in the neighborhood, but could never join a league.
The MOST HORRIBLE THING IMAGINABLE (I still have bad dreams about it): Having to go door to door in your own neighborhood! Especially when the neighbors know what kind of people you really are. I was absolutly terrified of it. Once I ran into a friend from school while I was out. He rode up on his bike and asked what I was doing. I was horrified. Luckily he was cool about it and did not harass me at school. It could have been very bad at that age.
Sometimes my school friends would stand up for me. Once the other kids got some kind of holiday treat and the teacher just puts a regular candy bar on my desk. Some kid was pevved at my special treatment and he snatched it. Before I could say a word, another kid took care of him for me and handed me back my candy bar. Still the whole thing was a bit embarrassing. Having to do any holiday thing in class was no fun. The teachers were usually very nice about it. They would quietly hand me my special "non-holiday" project and I would gladly do it because to actually color a pictue of a jack-o-lantern, or whatever, would have caused tremendous guilt.
this is my first weekend in my new apartment.
so that gave me the idea to start a fun thread.. how about your apartment stories?
favorite/least favorite apartment you've had or maybe now live in?
Had a bottom unit with mexican nationals upstairs with 3 young kids who would jump off the bed onto the floor (my ceiling) early in the morning while blasting mexican music (close to the most horrible music in the world imo). I could hear the guy next to me snoring through the walls. I could hear the guy upstairs taking a whiz at night. The outside stairs were concrete and steel and brilliantly attached to the walls of the units and kids would walk up and down 3 flights with their rollerblades on. The mexicans moved out and a redneck couple moved in. They came complete with all redneck features including the drunken argument/wife and kid beatings. Apartments suck.
the following quote is taken from the september 15, 2002 edition of the watchtower, p.16-18:.
"in the first century, such individuals as hymanaeus, alexander, and philetus, were advocating ideas that did not fit "the pattern of healthful words.
" (1 timothy 1:18-20; 2 timothy 2:16,17) how could the early christians avoid being led astray by apostates?
we scutinize and are selective about what we listen to and what we read
There is always this premise that if you read something you automatically have to believe it. I have read many books that I did not quite agree with. It is an insult to sugggest that a person does not have the ability to read material and then choose whether he or she agrees with it or not. An insult maybe, but also a good way to keep fools in the dark.
They say
instead of questioning God's Word
And then
have the attitude of the first-century Beroeans who examined the Scriptures closelyWould not "examining closely" involve some questioning? Typical WT reasoning.
ok, as if you all need another thing that that doesn't make sense but is typical jw thinking here goes.. they think dad only hears the prayers of the rightous and not the "bad" people.
if you've done evil things dad won't listen to you.
they also think that to be good with dad and me you have to confess your sins.
JEEESus CHRIIIST ! Will you stop screwing around.
I can play the guitar like a mother f*cking riot. I do vocals, write a bit and play a mean steelstring. I have recorded a bit using midi backup with digital audio vocals and guitar. Currently in mp3 or wave file format.
ok here's your chance...not neccesarily your favorite, but what you think is the best one....one vote apiece please... .

Not my favorite, but one that certainly deserves consideration is that old Kansas song, "Dust in the Wind". Depressing but true, great writing and outstanding production.
