as someone who never grew up in the shadow of the wt, i love reading accounts of people who began to wake up and think that the wt wasn't all that it represents itself to be*.
and especially when they see that the things that they were told to avoid were harmless at worst, and quite often fun.

I am so glad I don’t need to get caught up in this nonsense!
I suppose Christmas gives people a lift in spirits and a sense of excitement.
And that is their choice but as for me I am very content to just let the whole occasion just fade away. It seems so cosmetic and empty to me when the sentiment of the celebration is for peace, harmony and joy - yet the world continues on its insane, chaotic and war plagued course.

yesterday was remembrance day/veterans days in canada.
we had a couple younger half wits in the cong in field service yesterday.
both are trying to climb the ladder with the entire elder body ready to die in the next 10 years.. i just of thought it was a dick move to go door to door about the merits of fighting for freedom or not fighting on such a sacred day.
So Ukrainians are fleeing the country and seeking asylum in safe countries.
We have some here in Australia that we have made welcome. And JW’s preach peace and refuse to join any army and take the lives of others. I find that stand admirable, if only everyone else had the same resolve we could live in peace!
Such a firm resolve makes JW’s true Christians! And there are other Christian groups who also take Christs command to love his neighbour also.

) i grew up with duck and cover under my elementary schooldesk, the cold war, the iron curtain, the korean war, the vietnam war and i went to federal prisonas a jw conscientious objector while hippies, flower children, political activists protested and universitystudents were fired up on by troops.i grew up reading newspapers (2 of them).
A sad day for the world? I couldn’t care less who won the US election. Will have zero impact on my life! Bring on Gods Kingdom and we can live the real life instead of this chaotic and insane plastic life.
i was listening to a lunchtime call in radio show about jws and the personal experiences of being disfellowshiped, and a former elder called in saying he was disfellowshiped for asking about jws and their involvement in the un in the 1990s ,and he just said look it up.. thinking that it was a made up lie ,so i looked it up and it was true even a letter confirming it from the un itself and that led me here and to jwfacts and further research into the history and teachings of jw and walked out the door about 5 years ago.

What this writer has conveyed is very much what I believed and knew all along with regards to vaccines and the COVID-19 pandemic. The governing body failed in not taking and maintaining a neutral stand and look at the damage they have done to the brothers and sisters.
