Has anyone else tried this?
No, but my question is, what exactly do you want to accomplish with that? What's in it for you? Why do you have a need to convince others?
the definition of priming the pump, is put to water manually into the casing of the pump so that it will create a seal and draw the water up.
it's a term used for economics but i like to use it when i am trying to hopefully help a jw, escape.
i view it as a long term endeavor.. whenever there are videos for upcoming conventions, i'll try to work the main theme into a conversation with them.

the watchtower company and the jdubs talk so nonchalantly about the year 1914, the year they say jesus became king in the heavenly kingdom.
they talk about the year like it was just a short time ago.
the invisible king began ruling in the invisible kingdom.
You will not hear the Watchtower drones say that every man, women, and child who were alive when Jesus became king are now dead. They are all dead.
...including the ones who said it.
Reminds me of a bunch of people who in the 90s became "AIDS Denialists" and refused to treat their HIV infection claiming that HIV doesn't exist. They all died of AIDS.
just when you think you've seen it all comes another interesting use of a kingdom hall.a young man serenades his girlfriend with a song (possibly a watchtower song) from the stage through a microphone and backed by recorded music.
then he steps off the stage and gets down on one knee and proposes as he pulls out a ring from his coat pocket.
the large projector screen flashes up behind them with a picture of a sapphire and diamond ring.cameras capture the joyous moment as she accepts and they lock together in a loving hug.
How romantic.
dear brothers and sisters.
after many years outside of the truth, living as an atheist, i have come to realise that i have been on the wrong path.
the fool has said in his heart that there is no god, and i have been a fool.
Fred, thanks for the laugh. I hope people get the joke, as you can see, some don't.
i haven’t posted for quite a while as i needed a break – although i have been lurking.. can anyone confirm if the wtbts give assistance to someone who has been involved in an incident whilst working at bethel and, as a result, must leave?.
the reason i’m asking is that, back in the 80’s, i knew a sister who was in bethel service.
she was assigned to the cleaning department.
Is this the WTBTS policy? If someone is required to leave bethel service due to injury following an incident at work that they are on their own with regard to medical care and expenses incurred?
The biggest lie that the WT perpetuates among their crop is that they are not part of the world. If people get injured in the job, regardless of it being volunteer work or for-pay, they are not above the law just because they say so. Sue their asses.
the catholic church gets a lot of credit in this book by a protestant.
title-how the catholic church built western civilization.
below is a description from the back page of the book.
The Catholic church had way more influence than today. Not sure about it "building" western civilization, but I'd say that they did have a saying in pretty much everything.
Child molesters and murderers are protected by the Governing Body....Good Job!!!!
Yep.
hey guys!
for me, things are doing better, you could say.
ever since i been on here, posting, and whatnot, i have been even more enlightened, if that's the correct word.
My belief in a lot of doctrines taught by the organization has withered. I have no belief in "Satan." No belief in the "Resurrection." Just to name a couple. I kind of have took on that personality of, "I'm here for a good time, not a long time."
293 days till I leave, basically almost 10 months.
Thanks for reading my drawn out 17 year old feelings, lmao.
Glad to hear that you are doing well. Thank you for sharing.
i think this would be a noble endeavour..

What exactly makes a person more apostate than another?
there has always been less emphasis on jesus, and more on the name jehovah.
if jesus played for the wtbts baseball team, he would play right field.
he would be good enough to start but by playing right field, he wouldn't see too many baseballs hit his way.
What do you think is the real reason WTBTS ( the organization) uses/over uses the name Jehovah?
Lame attempt at standing out and being different. A great deal of what that organization offers is "information" and "knowledge" that no other people in the world are supposed to have. A lot of what catches people attention is that they teach different things from the same Bible. It's part of their branding and marketing.
