Farewell Liberals - Doug Ford Wins in Ontario

the conservatives have won in ontario and the liberals who held power there for 15 years crashed so hard they didn't get enough seats to even retain official party status.

people are sick of them and the mess they make!.

hopefully this is the start of a wave across canada that will sweep the liberals from positions where they can do harm, ending with the king of the clowns, trudeau..

I've always been curious on how we can split our political views. Even in places like here, where we all have been in the receiving end of narcissistic ultraconservatives who feel they are entitled to the praise and money of their followers.

Idiots split their believes into that conservative/liberal shit (all of them, left, right, libtards, alt-right, and whatever made up shit you claim people are. Yes, you read right, I called it all shit because it is). The rest of us normal people in their right mind, know how to make our own decisions.

It's baffling that people coming from a brainwashing cult continue the exact same harmful mindset.

Grow up, think for your own selves.

Suggestions for horror/supernatural movies

hey guys, so now that i’m pretty much atheist and i’m not scared of demons or supernatural things, or bring them into my house by watching movies or reading books about them lol, i defenitly want to watch a few scary movies.

i’ve always loved scary movies, but as witness, you don’t get to watch many since they need to be pg-13 and have no spiritism in it lol.

does anyone have any suggestions?

I don't have any suggestions, but there are different types of horror. There are some horror movies that are too crude in the killings. There are also stories that have some christian/religious connotations. There are some that are laughable at how badly they are done, but they are fun nonetheless.

I'm sure that as you start getting into them, you'll develop your own taste.

Miss America and Misguided Views on Sexuality

so miss america pageant is going to remove the swimsuit and evening gown parts of their pageant because they have decided it's demeaning to women.

i guess it will just be women in overcoats telling us they want world peace .... bravo, we all applaud, right?

maybe we shouldn't be so quick to do so .... what is it really saying?

I agree. It's insane. They are trying to make it a "competition", not a pageant. However, the Miss America event has experienced a number of challenges through the years, mostly because it is in fact based on an outdated idea of the place in women in society.

That said, removing the swim suit contest, in my humble opinion, does not do anything other than bringing attention to it. I think it's an attention seeking move. The reality is that the even has suffered tremendously throughout the years.

Nonsense. You don't need to look at any other place that you might not agree with to understand the effect of negative influence. High chances are that the person who said that has never even been to North Korea.

Learn about negative influence; that can give you a clue of how that can happen right in your own home, no need to look at other people's ideas of how people live in other countries.

You cannot use religious exceptions only for what you want/like. Religious organization want passes to discriminate and get away with a lot of illegal acts. This one is no exception.

I know people don't like hearing it, but that doesn't make it any less true.

Too many of these venues concentrate in what happens, very few talk about what to do about it.

Religious Discrimination; now LEGAL

there are businesses that are now discriminating in their hiring practices based on the fact that you are a jw.. sure, you think i'm mad.

but it's true.. the business circles have become acutely aware of the -not even 1 year old- decision in the industrial court where a jw ratted out a fellow jw and brought disrepute to the bank where they both worked.

Solar panel government scam...we are doomed global warming Armagedon!!

we got solar panels after the promise it will slash our bills 70% turns out that was true 6 years ago when my uncle got it the government was paying people for solar power.

well i just got a letter telling me they slashed the rebate again to 9 cents which means my $5000 investment in solar will take 6 years just to get my money back!

what a scam my uncles older contract means he pays no power bills for the last 10 years while the new deal screws us totally!

How can we save the world from global warming when they screw us over! Now i know why we are they only idiots in the suburb with solar panels...total rip off only our elecricity company makes money.

Solar panels are too expensive for what they claim that they do. It's like they want consumers to pay what they save in electricity to the company that makes them.

Also, many companies use that save the planet thing to their advantage or as an excuse for them to save money. A bottled water company, for example, made their caps smaller to "save the planet" by using less plastic. In reality they saved gazillions of dollars in material and the price of their bottles is the same.

Same thing with those bulbs that save electricity, the energy bill is the exact same, even if you pay the insanely overpriced cost of those "energy saving" bulbs.

Not posted for a year because mum died did not want blood.

i posted here weekly until a year ago when my mum died of a mild form of lukemia which is easy to treat with 2 blood tranfusions a month.

you can live to 100 with treatment, but no my mum chose to die a faithful witness after 2 years of chemo and hell for her family and doctors.

her chemo doctor cried when she only had weeks left to live knowing that she could be saved with one bag of blood!
