  happy new year to all.

  well here we are, 2017, and still no armageddon, no 'great' tribulation', no 'paradise earth'.

  however, the "good news" is that we can now celebrate 102 years under 'kingdumb rule'.

  The word already exist. In fact, professionals in the matter of cults prefer to use that word instead of labeling an entity "a cult".

  However, it's great that you are out there thinking of ways to describe it. In fact, you can better use the term, even if it was already invented, it actually gives you more meaning to your statement as they cannot tell you that it's something you made up.

  this was always something i had trouble believing as i was growing up.

  now i'm in my 30's i can see this will never happen.

  even if the un the nwo whoever forces a global ban on religion.

  I'm sure a lot deep down would love the idea of the shackles taken off them. I in fact feel more sorry for them than us ex JW's They have a much harder time to leave and even lose their lives.
  

  I agree that religion is not going away any time soon. And it shouldn't. Many religious organizations exercise a great deal of functions in society, as it should.

  The WT is a high demand controlling cult. There are many other around, and in the scale of difficulty and severity of consequences around leaving, the WT is not as horrible as others. That doesn't minimize the damage they create in people's lives (nor the emotional scars that they have created in the children that were sexually abused in their crop). But yes, some other cults kill people or torture them physically or emotionally. That's well documented.

  There's not such thing as "false" religion. That's made up nonsense by organizations like the WT in a lame attack to other people's faiths, which is an extremely disrespectful thing to do.

  along with the gallons and gallons of blood being drained and then the flesh being burned as well.

  Yes, they would be behaving like animals. Not sure why it should be expected that they have to lay out an entire system to maintain the area sanitized. I'm sure they did. They were human, and yes, animal and human sacrifices have been well documented in history, so either they had a system in place to maintain the area clean, or they didn't care about the smell.

  ok guys, i have been tasked to ask for your opinions regarding this case.. and be honest.

  my brother sexted a girl a little over a year ago, they never dated, and she got mad at him.... she got engaged and the engagement ended in august.. she attempted suicide, then talked to the elders an told him she was gonna tell on him too, now that was in august, the sister told my brother that since she didn't know his hall they couldn't do anything.. we found that doesn't seem right, so hes been freaking out, but ita now two days away from 2017 and the elders haven't speaked to him yet.. why could that be?

  could they give him all this time to confess?

  I think that's your answer. It may all be pure made up bs from a suicidal girl. Maybe not, but maybe.

  I won't be surprised if the elders request to see the naked picture.

  I think there's no need to think like an elder. Just prepare for that ridiculous and unfair JC situation if he chooses to be part of it. The most important thing here is that the WT system is having its perfect effect in that boy. At the end of the day the elders and the WT have no authority over him. If you care about him, show him support, make him feel ok and not ashamed, and have a talk about responsible relationship and sex decision making, which if he's a JW, chances are he never had.

  It will be a lesson for him in responsible choices, but around a messed up girl, not around any of that shaming Jehovah crap.

  yeah, i know, as pete kaye would say: "old people, you can't beat 'em .... pity".. but seriously, where else would you have a bunch or 17 year old lads chatting with some 80+ year old guy?.

  i remember some of the old people in our old kh and they were genuinely nice people.

  I think it's something many now miss out on ... there isn't always the opportunity to connect with different age groups outside of your immediate family circle.
  

  I think it's sad to think that a religious setting is one of the few ways for intergenerational interaction. I respectfully differ from that opinion. First, if that was the case, what does that say about us as society? Second, I for once I haven't set foot in any kind of KH or church (other than some churches as a tourist) for decades and I talk to 80 year olds as well as young adults and younger. That is not to mention that today is the first time in history where you see 4 generations of people in the workforce.
  

  But seriously, where else would you have a bunch or 17 year old lads chatting with some 80+ year old guy?
  

  There are many communities, events and even your own neighborhood where you can chit chat and have friends with people from multiple generations. As far of the KW and congregations, I think it's more accurate to say that you see 17 year olds obligated to chat with 80+ year olds. And in light of the things that have come out, I think that setting makes it even creepier.

  romans 13 : 1-7 "let every soul be in subjection to the superior authorities" etc,"the existing authourities stand placed in their relative positions by god" 2".therefore he who opposers the authourity has taken a stand against the arrangement of god ,those who have taken a stand against it will recieve judgement to themselves "etc,etc,.."..to him who calls for honour such honour.".

  isnt this plainly stating that christians should be supporting and playing along with the governments of this sytem of things ?

  that it is in fact an arrangement of god ?

  So on the one hand Jehovah God / Christ Jesus are telling us that the ruler of the world is Satan the Devil and then on the other hand we are to be obedient to Satans system of things approved by Jehovah .?
  

  The entire concept of Satan to me is the biggest, most contrived stretch in the entire plot of the bible. Furthermore, I find that explaining Satan takes a lot more imagination and interpretation (red "making things up") to make it fit in this whole thing. Personally I believe less of its existence than that of the bible's "Jehovah".
  

  That is not to mention that throughout the bible, "god's" behavior seems more despicable and erratic that the methodical, planning, organized, driven and clear-about-his-plan behavior of Satan. Satan is a much better example of self-discipline.

  I wonder if that's why they have called me "Satan Worshiper".

  Then she told me she was very into me and she loves my style, she feels something about me that she cant explain, despite the fact that we just met. I told her i felt the same way. Then she started crying... she told me how bad of a person she was and im gonna find somebody prettier and better than her. She was pretty. I knew this was too good to be true.

  a test of the blood doctrine belief for my husband.

  we discussed what he would do if i were incapacitated and our daughter needed a blood transfusion would he refuse and he said no.

  ( i do want that in writing still) .

  now she is having a tonsillectomy, adnoidectomy and the back of an earring removed from her ear lobe( don't ask, i feel like a mother failure enough already!

  First, I'm so sorry that you are going through so much yourself and your daughter, and on top of that dealing with a JW husband and the blood situation.
  

  I agree with not dwelling in the worries ahead. It's good and healthy to be concerned, and a degree of worry is normal, but dwelling on what-ifs is a complete waste of time and feeds unnecessary anxiety over an already anxiety creating situation.

  High chances are that your daughter's doctor will be nothing like the one who committed suicide. I'd suggest to remain on top of the entire medical procedure and ask as many questions, but take that gone doctor away from your mind. It's not going to contribute anything positive.

  And of course, keep sharing here. Having a place to vent is always good.

  Aside from the blood issue, I hope you feel comfortable talking to your husband about all your worries. I know it's hard to talk to a JW about feelings without getting their agenda pushed down, but I hope he's there for you as a husband.

  Maybe, maybe not. A lot of people make the assumption that the decisions are made in a rational manner. They are strategic, but I questions their rationality.
