No, and I think it's a waste of time. I do lists to organize some things in my life, but having a bucket list makes my wishing and dreaming too confined. It defeats the purpose of why we want to accomplish certain things.

The Boyfriend Pillow! - The Governing Body's worst nightmare!!??
by stuckinarut2 inhttps://www.boyfriendpillow.com.au/.
with all the focus on the new anti-masturbation vide telling all bethelites not to sleep inappropriately with a pillow, surely this has to be the very item that will send the gb into fits of despair?

"To whom do you belong?"
by stuckinarut2 inprompted by one of our fellow posters- jrjw who started a thread asking how to remove "kingdom melodies" from our head, this song title came to mind!
(sorry for the earworm everyone😉).
it got me thinking.

To whom DO Witnesses belong? Who do they obey?
To the WT bible and track society.

When Will Jehovah`s Witnesses Appoint A Woman As A Governing Body Member.? It`s Long Overdue !
by smiddy3 injehovah himself gives the saying "the women telling the good news are a large army" psalms 68 : 11 coupled with the fact that a good portion of women partake of the emblems and wine at the annual memorial celebration.. identifying themselves as part of the 144000 that are taken from the earth to rule with christ jesus in the heavens.. isn`t it about time they were recognized for their contributions and given the fact that gods word the bible clearly states that 144,000 of anointed are to be taken from the earth which many women are a large part of.?.
revelation ch.14 :4 could be argued that they are not lesbians { "these are the ones who do not defile themselves with women ,in fact they are virgins, etc,etc.}.
i wonder just how many men who claim to be of the anointed have not defiled themselves with women and are virgins.?.

When Will Jehovah`s Witnesses Appoint A Woman As A Governing Body Member.?
Never. And why women specifically? The same applies to a number of people who have equally devoted their lives for decades and have gone nowhere in that organization. Why do you single out women? What is so special about them over other people?

Thank you, George Couch!
by charonsdog ini just thought i'd share this story from my past.. back in the 80s i remember the big problem seemed to be about music.
(today, it's tight pants, i guess) the organization, society, whatever they were calling themselves, were always going on about the music we listened to.
disco, heavy metal, the whole "backwards masking" thing...couldn't escape hearing or reading about how satan was corrupting us unless we were listening to kingdom melodies or elevator music.. i was assigned to wtf in the late 80s and remember one of the articles stating that "young people know that the rhythm of rock music is the rhythm of sexual intercourse.

Love the story. About this:
"young people know that the rhythm of rock music is the rhythm of sexual intercourse."
That is what I hate the most about them. They make these insanely ridiculous claims about things. So many wrong things at so many levels!

The real reason the Watchtower Magazine is studied
by RULES & REGULATIONS inthe watchtower study is not real bible study.
it is a study to introduce wtbts beliefs, doctrines, and practices.
just think for a moment!

The Watchtower Study is not real Bible study.
Just looking at their actions alone can give you a clue. They say that "the Bible is very clear about..." everything, yet, they have gazillions of publications to explain it. That can give you a clue that they are full of it.

Several widows there who seem to have no life in them and then all the other drones who are hanging on for dear life hoping, just hoping they can endure to the end of their natural life so maybe, just maybe they can make it back in the resurrection. A lot of people look unhappy and physically in pain and they drag themselves to the Hall because it’s so much better to be there instead of listening on the phone don’t you know. I’ve seen elders upset and badger the congregation because no one put there hand up to answer a question verbatim word for word from the publication.
I know you feel for your wife in that respect. However, that's her choice and she is fortunate to have you as a reminder of her having other choices.
The part of your post that I quoted makes me very sad, knowing of people submitting themselves to all that nonsense for nothing is just horrible.
We are fortunate of not being part of that anymore. Our freedom from that is cause for celebration.

It saddens me to know that marriages break up because of religion and the blame, whose fault it is ?
by smiddy3 ina jehovah`s witness couple who have been married for many years and some with children of various ages and have been serving in their congregation meeting attendance, fs and bible studies with their children for many years .. and then one of them begins to have doubts about what they are being taught and what they actually are supposed to believe now that some changes have been made with nu-lite.. the doubts grow and then the the use of the internet to investigate further some of the claims of the gb/wt religion .. with the wealth of information available on the www it now becomes impossible to continue to be an active member of the jehovah`s witness religion without being an utter hypocrite .
you no longer believe them anymore that they alone are gods chosen people in this day.. however your spouse does not see things the way you do not at all and after many months of arguments bickering threats the ultimatum is something like if you don`t believe what i believe that you have left jehovah we can`t live together anymore ,i want a divorce unless you come to your senses.. who is the one here breaking up the marriage ?.
isn`t it in the majority of cases the jw who ends the marriage ?

How say you .?
I look at the bigger picture. When you take a closer look at things, sometimes you find that some couples have a lot of issues and they become JW in an attempts to either fix them or escape from them.
When it comes to marriage, we just don't know what happens behind closed doors between the couple. Coming to any conclusion based solely in what outsiders see, or based only on the word of one of the parties without the others, I'm not sure it's going to get use the entire story.
That said, it's well known to many of us that the WT can't care less about the well being of their people. All the "advice" that they provide is for their benefit and to push their agenda. That includes what they expect people to do in their marriage, and they go as far as telling people what positions are acceptable when they are in the intimacy of their bedrooms.
When it comes to the health of a marriage, it's not a good thing to rely on what the WT says. When a marriage is in crisis, they certainly don't help, but I wouldn't hold anyone responsible without knowing the entire story.

"Wondrous expansion is now taking place!"
by stuckinarut2 inso we have all heard the worldwide reports about khalls being sold off and congregations being amalgamated etc.... of course, jws are being told that these actions are a sign of "just how much the work is progressing, and how jehovah is blessing the increase and expansion!".
i can share the following from my part of the world too!.
in perth, western australia the following has occurred.. three "new" congregations have been formed!

@ Wake Me Up Before You Jo-Ho:
Corrupt and deceitful to its core!
Just like the photoshopped picture you posted.
About the OP, that's a basic tactic to every organization that wants to filter information and it's not transparent to their people. Sadly, some people find comfort in that.
