for me, things are doing better, you could say.
ever since i been on here, posting, and whatnot, i have been even more enlightened, if that's the correct word.
My belief in a lot of doctrines taught by the organization has withered. I have no belief in "Satan." No belief in the "Resurrection." Just to name a couple. I kind of have took on that personality of, "I'm here for a good time, not a long time."
293 days till I leave, basically almost 10 months.

there has always been less emphasis on jesus, and more on the name jehovah.
if jesus played for the wtbts baseball team, he would play right field.

Lame attempt at standing out and being different. A great deal of what that organization offers is "information" and "knowledge" that no other people in the world are supposed to have. A lot of what catches people attention is that they teach different things from the same Bible. It's part of their branding and marketing.
i was just thinking about how jw's like to brag about having 8 million members world wide and thought i might look up just what those numbers really mean in the big scheme of things.
back in the day when me & my jw were still discussing anything jw he thought that 8 million people couldn't be wrong.
i tried to tell him what a minuscule amount that really is to no avail.

the feb2018 broadcast is an absolute masterclass in cult manipulation, and a prime example of the high control nature of the society!.
if you haven't watched it, be prepared for some really disturbing stuff, especially as they address children, and guilt them into jw activity.

just thought i'd share this ridiculous picture from a recent watchtower.
in recent years, the word bullying has been thrown around a lot, and often misused by instigators and subtle bullies themselves.
in this picture we learn that your loving family who wants to continue sharing a family tradition with you, who hands you a beautifully wrapped present with a smile on their face, is in fact bullying you.
The fact that they appear to be a very well adjusted family and they probably even believe in Jesus like the young JW claims to is irrelevant. His family is in actuality Satan's angry fist.
Not the first time they do and say that. That's why I don't care about them. That's why so many ex-JWs have so many problems with socializing.
it struck me that the organisation has taught that before jehovah's people would be "attacked" by the governments, all of "babylon the great" would have to be destroyed first?.
yet, what do we see worldwide?
governments of all sorts have either already, or are in the process of massive investigations and enquiries into the organisation!.

Politics has not changed my choice of entertainment at all. Christianity has. I found it very distasteful watching a movie and they squeeze in the plot that "God talked to me", and it has some kind of biblical twist. Big turn-off.
two+ months into marital counseling for my wife (pimi) and i (pimo).
wife after decades of marriage decides for the first time to bring up separation due to, drum-roll please...... absolute endangerment of spiritual life.
a spouse may constantly try to make it impossible for the mate to pursue true worship or may even try to force that mate to break god’s commands in some way.
Has anyone personally experienced this type of therapy?
Not me personally. I have a friend who has. Make sure that the person administering is a reputable mental health professional. Also, it's wise to get e second opinion.
