  Get Vaccinated or Get laid Off

  i’m personally for the vaccine, took two shots and would take a third if asked.

  but i know a friend of mine that doesn’t want to take the vaccine who works for the government and now is faced with this choice: get vaccinated or get laid off.

  i don’t agree with this measure as it is totalitarian and runs against my core belief in individual freedom.. now, with that being said, what i don’t understand is that my friend still won’t get vaccinated.

  Can she get a medical exemption from the vaccine ?

  My employer mandated the vaccine - get it or your fired. I got a Dr note

  They also told me I had to shave - got a dr note and didnt shave.

  I do like the part where he said if you want to do business with the federal government you must be vaccinated.

  I guess that means all the unvaccinated don't have to pay taxes anymore because he doesn't want to do business with us. Thank you Biden.

  hi all.. i'm 42 years old.

  i have had two jabs of the oxford-astrazeneca vaccine.. after my first jab i experienced flu-like symptoms - shivering, wanted to lie down in a dark room, etc.. i experienced no side effects after my second shot.. how about you?.

  My sister had 1 shot of the moderna and ended up in urgent care with difficulty breathing. She decided not to do the second.

  My employer made flu shot mandatory for employment last year and covid vac mandatory this year. I got a Dr note from my allergy Dr last fall saying don't get flu shot. They didn't fire me. Got another Dr note that says don't get flu or covid shot. Just turned it in last week. We'll see what happens. Keeping my eye on indeed just in case.

  i was that you don't defend yourself against violence.

  When someone attacks you, you're not supposed to call the police. You're supposed to call the elders. At least that is what the elders told me after my now ex wife went on an anger filled rampage. I was doing some home remodeling and had a tool belt on. She grabbed the hammer and was swinging it at me. Got away from that and she started throwing things through windows, smashing furniture, etc. I tried calling the police. She got the cell phone and threw it. Got it back and called. She was prosecuted and convicted of domestic violence. I was counseled for calling the police, should have let the elders handle it. Yeah right.

  Funny, i was outside when the police showed up. Can hear stuff being smashed inside still. First thing i tell the police is I have a 25 on my ankle. He takes it and unloads it and asks why i didnt use it. Didnt need too, got myself out and safe.

  what is the most insensitive thing an overseer or elder has ever said and done to you?

  i have had many insensitive things said to me by some elders, but for some reason one self-righteous elder was always on my case.

  he didn't like the fact that i missed meetings, didn't like that i never went out in field service, that i didn't answer at the weekly meetings and he didn't like that i carried my books and magazines in my hands and not a service/book bag.

  After my wife (now ex) was found guilty of domestic violence against me in the local court the CO told me "you are just being like Adam and blaming everything on your wife. Why are you making stuff up and lying about your wife? Why are you trying to get rid of her? Are you having an affair? " I wasn't, i was begging for help. The COBE chimed in and said I "should have turned the other cheek and let her hit me there too." And, I "was wrong for calling the police when she supposedly attacked me. The elders would have taken care of it. "

  many,many years ago i went into a florist shop and ordered a wreath and a sympathy card to be delivered to my home .the sales lady looked at me and saw that i wasn`t very old and offered her condolences to me .. i apologised to her and said oh no ,nobody`s died ,it`s just that my wife has been going off lately about her turning fourty ,so i thought i would commiserate with her by doing this.. on the other hand when i turned fourty i went out and bought myself a pair of ice skates ..

  What Fun Things Have You Been Doing While In Lock-Down?

  so we've all been locked down and there's only so much netflix / prime / disney / hbo you can watch and computer games you can play.

  what has everyone been doing to pass the time?.

  when you're completely stuck inside and working from home it can get a bit boring staring at the same walls all day and then in the evening as well.

  I have a lot of projects on my wish list. But, I work in healthcare - there's been less free time and no lock down for me.

  June 30 2015 was my last meeting. Quit cold turkey.

  1 elder stopped by as he was driving by and saw me mowing my yard about 2 years later and apologized for believing all the bs my ex wife was spewing for 14 years.

  It's now 2020 and apparently the world is ending and it's the great tribulation and all the people that said they were my true friends and loved me for 30+ years haven't said a word to me since 30June2015.
