Men keep looking at me!
by bakedcanuck init started about 2 years ago, but its picking up.
i keep catching men looking at me with that look, that look i'm used to only getting from other girls.. this is making me tense, yet in some ways jolly.. i'm not sure what the proper facial expression is to give in return.. i cannot figure out why its happening to me now.
is it the greying beard, the balding head, the bulging ---, oh, right, it can't be that.. please explain this extraordinary phenomenon.. shecky

DO EVEN DIE HARD JWs REALLY THINK THE END IS NEAR
by Liberty inafter reading a couple of posts about the growing apathy among the r&f jws today i was reminded of the years following 1975 when the dropout rate was growing rapidly and the "faithful" die hards took it as a sign that the "end" was really really near since the winnowing process was removing so much chaff.
keep in mind that this was over 25 years ago.
it's been mentioned before but it is worth repeating that, no matter what is happening, religious fanatics(jws) always see it as a sign from god.

DO JW'S ALLOW THEIR CHILDREN TO GO ON CLASS TRIPS?

is it unusual for a jw to allow their children to go on school class trips to washington d.c.?
because of their beliefs, i would think going to d.c. on a class trip would be a no-no.

It's ok for kids to go on school field trips, as long as they have some medical problem that prevents them from being home-schooled. WT/12/31/1999

What should be in the bible?
by sleepy inok. i've been thinking again (?
) and wondering if i was god what would i have made shure was in the bible.. for a start i would have tried to help my human creatures fight against diseases.. it would'nt have took many pages to explian that there were such things as germs and that you needed to wash things well , and boil contaminated water etc.. this would have prevented millions of early deaths and a lot of suffering.

I just wish Jesus hadn't tricked everything up so much. Like, he had to pay admission or a tax or something, and he sends off one of his apostles to go get a coin out of a fishes mouth! What's the point in that? To prove he's god, or god's son, fine. But, do it with some class! It's like, Jesus is doing a Barnum and Balley thing. Walking on water, raising the dead, scoring party favors for everyone gratis. Why not just tell Paul, look, Paul, write this down. Make sure everyone gets a copy, this is called, "The Theory of Relativity," by this they will know I am the one.
But, I guess he was reaching out to the trailer park witnesses, too, and needed to create a context they could comprehend. Thanks.

Do you still get Nightmares?

because last night i had the crap scared out of me.. i cant remember what i had been dreaming about, but something shocked me and i opened my eyes and i saw a figure standing beside my bed.. my body when straight into fight mode.. now this is the weirest part for me.i shouted at the top of my voice , very loudly "what the f**k" yet it wasn't me speaking , my body sort of took over and said it .my eyes sort of adjusted and the figure disappeared and a i think at that point i became wide awake.. my wife was woken up by my shouting.. my heart was racing and my hair standing on end.. i have had a similiar experience once before but i didn't shout.. the fact that i woke up shouting, really freaked me out.. what the crap was going on in my head?
