"In today’s world, covering over the wrongdoing of others is a general practice. Many are as mute as a stone wall when it comes to revealing the wrongdoing of others to those who should know about such actions. It requires strength of Christian personality to inform appointed elders of the serious sin of a fellow believer. But if we are to have Jehovah’s favor, we must not let personal friendship blind us to the wrongdoing of another individual."

But they do just the opposite of what they print. They have kept silent to the abuse cases of wrongdoing , therby becoming accomplices to the crime! Moreover whoever has tried to reveal matters to others is being labelled as an apostate and shunned !

Hell No again, Not gods organization by any stretch of the imagination!

Further more It further says about Boe's "Appointed overseers in the Christian congregation were not masters over fellow believers. Rather, they were “fellow workers” who followed the direction of God’s spirit, and they were expected to be “examples to the flock.”

But reality is different.They do try to become masters over the fellow believers and give out orders and use their authority as a club.

Once again Hell no ! Not god's organization at all.

"Though the Creator, Jehovah God, is the Supreme Organizer, he is not cold or rule-oriented. Rather, he is a warm, happy God who is concerned with the well-being of all his creation". So unlike the Gar-Bage who are rule oriented and are not concerned at all for the well being of Gods creation ie fellow worshippers; with regard to CSA, Mergers and Khall sales, making people travel miles for meetings and money grabbing !

So to answer your question, No! Hell No.

Not that it matters to me either way now .I do not believe in the entity of god or anyother thing for that matter.

They fall short in way too many counts IMHO.

How Long Did It Take To Finally Leave The Organization Once You Realized It Was Really Not The Truth?

it actually took me a few years to finally leave the organization so i was mentally out for a while before i simply stopped all meetings altogether.. how long did it take you to finally make the break?

For me I had doubts from day 1 but kept it behind bars coz I thought I was fresh in , so do not have all the info so I may be wrong. Never had time to delve deeper into my doubts coz I was still in school (no internet,no laptops or computers or even a tv for that matter, poor background..life was difficult and challenging without creating waves with my doubts). In time though , I woke up like in an instant with the money grabbing letters, and the generation change, more anointed numbers addedie when I started studying with the jdumbs there was only 8800 something of these Ass0 left on earth.In 10 more years or so I guess, it had gone to 11000 and then to over 19000 ! I was taught that this number will keep discreasing more or less as we are nearer theend. So this was a rude awakening of what really is going on with the so called truth! Did not take research at all to wake up. Now that I was, I just started (coz my love for me partner was wayyyyyyy greater than for jehovah) to sever all ties so as to have least contact with any jdumbs. So first off, I changed my phone number and never passed on my new number to anyone just my partner! Even congregation record cards did not update .

2. Shredded my blood card,waiting for the right time to let my partner know of what to do in need of an emergency.

3. Bided my time to gently start to wake my partner up. it took a year to wake my partner up and that was it. my partner once awoke said No more anyhting to do with jdumbs.

That was that for me but till my partner woke up I would be at the meetings but with my tablet researching , reading up on things.Never was mentally there at all.

It is a fantastic true story to read.I enjoyyed it cover to cover. Have you read his other two books : the lost city of Z and The Devil And Sherlock Holmes? I found them truly interesting , a killing read!

Why are the elohim like angels?

as you (jws and ex-jws) well know the jehovah's witnesses interpret psalm 82:6 " ' you are gods*, and all of you are sons of the most high (god)' " when you hit on the asterisk (using the 2012 watchtower library), you will notice the following interpretations: or, “godlike ones.” heb., ʼelo·him′; gr., the·oi′; syr., daʼ·la·hin; lat., di′i; t, “like angels/ human judges.”.

notice here that "t" is the targum onkelos to be exact.

firstly, why is the word "elohim" interpreted as "like angels" if their is no such interpretation in the entire hebrew bible (masoretic text)?

Even "Satan" means something totally different in Sanskrit than in Hebrew. In Hebrew, "Satan" means "adversary". In Sanskrit, "Satan" means "truth"

remember that the serpent was cursed to crawl on his belly all the rest of his days, but in the book of job, satan is still walking around and chatting with god as if they’d never had a falling out.

this is when god had to ask satan where he’s been, because his infallible omniscience obviously didn’t know.. so if he had to ask that of satan, who is later described as the lord of lies, then why would god believe him?

Skepticism, without it we would be Positives and no negatives,therefore zero charge... this gives rise to devil/satan characters likehim.

I do believe he is just an imaginary entity to put the blame on when someone does something bad religiously speaking. If one does good, has something good happen to him....he is blessed ie god did it. when something untoward/bad happens satan is behind it. So never is any human responsible for his actions, his hardwork or lack thereof...or bad choices made etc.Then why the hell are humans put behind bars for the crimes that satan made them commit by luring or whatever bs is stated. Even god punishes people for sinning!

Weird reasonings and teachings. I do not believe in all this and feel so much better for it.(Sorry all,I must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed)
