Does anyone know me?

i have been out for several years and would like to find out if any of my old friends from the past have left since.. i have changed my name.

it use to be fox.

all of my friends from way back would have been located in the san gabriel valley area 20 years ago.. i know it's a long shot but i thought i would post anyway.

I have changed my name. It use to be Fox. All of my friends from way back would have been located in the San Gabriel Valley area 20 years ago.

I know it's a long shot but I thought I would post anyway.

I have to leave for a while but will check back tomorrow to see if there is a chance someone might answer.

jehovah's witnesses proclaim the good news of the kingdom under the power of god's holy spirit.

jesus commanded his followers to preach in the most distant parts of the earth and promised them that the spirit of god would guide them in this life-saving work (acts 1:8).. without the spirit of god, one cannot continue preaching about jesus and god's kingdom (matthew 24:14).

one surely will not have god's spirit if one preaches a negative message (against jehovah's servants) from door to door.

hmmm I have been wondering about the Dateline cards I went door to door with right before the airing and what kind of response some of the householders had. Perhaps I should do some return visits

LadyLee....That would be very interesting! I would love to hear what responses you would get. It would make an excellent thread I think.

does every issue of morality have to be compared with the thinking and teaching of jehovahs witnesses?

simply because you are no longer jehovahs witnesses does that mean that you flaunt all moral authority and engaged in any perverted pleasure that you have a mind to?

because your morality is no longer legislated by a pseudo religious organization does that give you license to engage in all acts of "immorality" and refer to it "as just having fun.

the DEMONS !!

there is constant talk about sex here, false prophecy, preaching work etc.. but noone talks much about the demons.

i know i was frightened of them.my entire youth, every night, was spent engaging in paranoid little rituals to protect me from the demons.. watchtowers under the pillow, lights on, bible open by the bed.. and me wide awake listening to every tree branch creak, every board crack as the house setlled for the night.. i still have problems (occassionaly) even now.. who was terrified of the demons??

SUICIDE IN KH PARKING LOT

last saturday, a former ministerial servant and pioneer committed suicide in the woodinville washington kingdom hall parking lot.

he was disfellowshipped several years ago, and according to the old sister that related the story to me today, he was depressed because no one would talk to him.

i don't know how i kept calm when she explained to me that "we couldn't talk to him...he was disfellowshipped.".

This is so horrible.
Maybe there are only a handful of jws that commit suicide compared to the rest of the world statistically but it still does not excuse the fact that it could have been prevented if he were not being completely ignored. The wtbts should be picketed for the shunning practices until they put an end to it.
