I don't make resolutions. I'll do what makes me happy, being healthy is one of them -- I don't need any banal 'clean slate/new calendar year' excuses to begin a 'taking care of my body regimen'. It's a year round thing for me.

Why has God Permitted Wickedness?
by hillary_step inyes, i know what the wts teaches....but what do you believe?.
if god exists why is there is so much suffering both among humans and even more so among his creation, where all animals must, deceive then eat one another to survive?
if he does not exist why is there is so much suffering both among humans and even more so among nature where all animals must eat one another to survive?

HOW PERCEPTIVE ARE YOU?
by minimus inpeople make the world go round.
there are a number of very sharp people on this board.
when we interact with one another, we learn what makes us tick.most that are here are either out or on their way out of "the truth".through experience, we understand the pros and cons of life.

Perceptive towards matters regarding the Borg while I was in the Borg? No. I wasn't in the least interested in the first place, so I didn't waste my brain cells.
Perceptive towards everything else? Somewhat. I won't blow smoke up my ass, but I catch on fairly quick.

Ain't No Cameras When She's Gone....
by Valis inif there was a day that described the hateful things one can think then today was the day.
some of you know i'm a camera freak and it just so happens i got a brand new one w/the 50 mm wide angle lens.
well i took it to school today and it disappeared when i was busy.

My condolances. I'd rather stab myself in the testicles than have my camera stolen. Even though it's just an ancient Canon AE1 program, it has become a permanent fixture of my body, and has travelled all over the world. Nothing will be able to replace it.
Hey, at least you didn't have enough time to have it develop sentimental value, if that's of any comfort to you. Still, a real pisser. Tear ass if you find the gumpty that stole it.

Which did you prefer? Watchtower or Awake?
by LDH inwhen i was a jw, i really couldn't stomach the watchtowers.
the only articles i would read would be for the family study/watchtower study.
it seemed so archaic and old-people-ish.. i did read the awake from cover to cover almost every time.

Hrmmm. The Awake for putting me to sleep, and the Watchtower for wiping my ass.
I guess it's a tie.

Public opinion on the issue of Iraq???
by Celtic inwhen prime minister tony blair was 'summoned' to camp david a couple of day's ago, he looked succinctly uncomfortable when doing a press interview with president bush.
today, the prime minister faces the tuc conference, the main agenda covering the impending war on iraq.
british public opinion is very much for the action to not take place against iraq.
