Personally, I do not believe God ever has or ever will exist. I have my reasons -- I guess I could be considered an Agnostic, rather than an Athiest. I was curious to see what the larger part of the former Borg community believed, now looking from the outside in, rather than the opposite. Feel free to blather an explanation of 35000 words or less.

WHICH MEETING WAS THE MOST BORING?
by minimus inthe more meetings you go to the more drivel you hear.
elder's meetings were terrible because all you ever did was gossip about how everyone wasn't doing this or that.
meetings for field service sucked.....enough said on that.

Apostate terminology
by Mum inmy daughter and i, fun-loving apostates that we are, have some terms we use regarding the wt organization and other cults.
i would like my fellow posters here to tell us their terms, buzz words, etc., to add to our list: to get the ball rolling, two of our favorites are:.
cookie-cutter theology.

i am guilty of registering with more than one account.

I registered once before I became TBS, as Sloth_Fratelli (from the Goonies) but forgot my password. I simply made another account, informed Simon of my doing so, and have posted under this name ever since.
I AM NOT NAEBLIS. THIS HAS BEEN VERIFIED.

I. P. Freeley.
by Englishman inremember when we were kid's at school, how we used to love to make up book titles with fictitious authors to match?.
this sort of thing:.
"the dangerous cliff" by eileen dover.. "the un-answered telephone" by isabelle ringing.. "bare-back horse riding" by major bumsaw.. the fad faded for a while only to surface in a re-generated form for "the simpsons".

Happy Lammas, if you survived it...
by The_Bad_Seed injust thought i'd wish all of those wiccans out there and in here a cool, happy, and safe lammas.
don't get naked with your friends without the spf 3000 today -- you'll likely end up a bunch of fried love poppets.
to all the rest of you, myself included, happy august 1st.. today is hotter than a mexicans lunch, again, here in fetid and festering southwestern ontario, mercury having risen to 39 degrees celcius with the humidex at 48 in this part of the province.

Today is hotter than a Mexicans lunch, again, here in fetid and festering southwestern Ontario, mercury having risen to 39 degrees Celcius with the humidex at 48 in this part of the province. Our July was the hottest ever recorded, with no letup in the foreseeable future. It hasn't rained more than 15mm since May. Almost makes me think Malachi 4:1's empty promises have come real. Almost.
Great White North my ass. I can't wait to get the hell out of this part of the country.
So ends my post about absolutely nothing. My 'Dogs lunch for a Thursday'.

The Revolving Door at the Kingdom Hall
by zenpunk inabout a year ago, i decided to drift into a meeting in my old congregation.
who knows, maybe i thought by doing so my mother would love me again....but anyway - i noticed that there were 5 or 6 of the same "diehard jw" families there but otherwise all the people were completely different.
it seemed that 3/4 of the congregation left and their seats were taken by a new group of converts.

JW numbers are down in almost every country in the world. Crap, Canada has been stuck at 110K for almost 10 years...
